2007–08 HockeyAllsvenskan Season
The 2007–08 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the third season of the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second level of ice hockey in Sweden. 16 teams participated in the league, and the top four qualified for the Kvalserien, with the opportunity to be promoted to the Elitserien. HockeyAllsvenskan
HockeyAllsvenskan (previously Allsvenskan and SuperAllsvenskan) is a professional ice hockey sports league, league, and the second-highest league in the Sweden, Swedish ice hockey system (after the Swedish Hockey League, SHL). Borås HC
Borås HC is a Swedish professional ice hockey club, based in Borås, currently playing in Swedish division 2. The club played constantly in the second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan between 2007 and 2012, but due to economical problems the Board of HockeyAllsvenskan announced on 27 June 2012 that they would not grant Borås HC elite license for the 2012–13 season and the club was therefore relegated to Division 1. They appealed the decision to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, but the appeal was effectively turned down on 6 July 2012. Swedish Division 1 (ice Hockey)
Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 season, the league consists of 46 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2. From 1944 to 1975, Division I was the highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, but with the creation of Elitserien (now the SHL) in 1975, it became the second tier. Division I was further relegated to third-tier status in 1999 as HockeyAllsvenskan was spun off into a standalone league, but was frequently written as "Division 1" on the Internet, as it was pronounced "Division One". The league was renamed Hockeyettan for the 2014–15 season. Hammarby IF Hockey (1921–2008)
Hammarby IF Ishockeyförening (''"Hammarby IF Ice Hockey Club"'', or simply Hammarby Hockey) is an ice hockey club founded as "Bajen Fans IF" in 2008 by supporters of the previous incarnation of Hammarby Hockey which went bankrupt that same year. The club plays in Hockeytvåan, the fourth tier of Swedish men's ice hockey, since the 2021–22 season. In its first five seasons, the club was promoted three times. Prior to the 2013–14 season, the club had failed only once to achieve promotion to a higher league in the Swedish ice hockey system when it was available, as league restructuring prior to the 2010–11 season prevented their immediate rise to Division 2 for that season. Nybro Vikings
The Nybro Vikings is an ice-hockey club from Nybro in Sweden. The team was playing in the highest league in Sweden for two seasons 1968–69 and 1969–70 and the second highest league during the 70s and 80s and again for seven years from 2002 to 2009 in Hockeyallsvenskan. The team was relegated to the third division, Division 1, during the 2008-2009 season after finishing only 15th in the regular season and only third in the following qualification series with six teams, two from Hockeyallsvenskan and four from Division 1. The team currently plays in Liljas arena, which takes about spectators. Liljas arena is the fourth oldest ice hockey arena in Sweden, finished 1963. 1984 the arena was rebuilt. Bofors IK
BIK Karlskoga is a Swedish ice hockey team based in Karlskoga, Sweden. They are currently playing in the second highest league in Sweden, the HockeyAllsvenskan. In 1963, the club IFK Bofors was merged with Karlskoga IF and formed KB 63 (formally IF Karlskoga/Bofors). Between 1978 and 2011 the club was known as Bofors IK, which was then changed to its current name. Karlskoga has been a stable fixture in Sweden's second tier leagues, playing in HockeyAllsvenskan and its predecessors since 1997. Växjö ( ) is a city and the seat of Växjö Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden. It had 70,489 inhabitants (2019) out of a municipal population of 95,995 (2021). It is the administrative, cultural, and industrial centre of Kronoberg County and the episcopal see of the Diocese of Växjö and the location of Växjö Cathedral. Huddinge IK
Huddinge IK (or ''Huddinge Hockey''), is a Swedish ice hockey team from Huddinge, a southern suburb in Stockholm County. The team is currently playing in the third highest league in Sweden, Hockeyettan. In the middle of the 1990s, a women's floorball section was founded, whose A-team advanced to Elitserien, the highest league, in 2008. History Huddinge IK was founded as the ice hockey section of Huddinge IF in 1946, and wasn't spun off into a separate club until January 8, 1950. IF Sundsvall Hockey is a Swedish ice hockey club based in Sundsvall. The club currently competes in Hockeyettan, the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. Sundsvall plays their home matches at Gärdehov, with a capacity of 2,500. History The club was founded in 1896 as Tunadals Skid och Skridskoförening (''Tundal Ski and Skate Club''), which was active mainly in ice skating, but also participated in athletics, association football, and orienteering. Almtuna IS is a Swedish ice hockey club based in Uppsala and is currently playing in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second highest league of ice hockey in Sweden.
