2007–08 England Hockey League Season
The 2007–08 English Hockey League season took place from September 2007 until April 2008. The league was sponsored by Slazenger and the men's title was won by Reading with the women's title going to Slough. There were no playoffs during the season. The Men's Cup was won by Beeston and the Women's Cup was won by Leicester. Men's England Hockey League
The Men's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organized by England Hockey that features men's teams from England and Wales. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of twelve teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten-team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The league has a winter break between December and February. The winners of the Premier Division regular season automatically qualify to play in the Euro Hockey League. League Finals Weekend The top four Premier Division teams from the regular season qualify for the League Finals Weekend. Olton & West Warwickshire Hockey Club
Olton & West Warwickshire Hockey Club (Olton & West Warwick for short) is a field hockey club based at the West Warwickshire Sports Club in Grange Road, Olton, Solihull, West Midlands. The club runs a large number of teams featuring men's, women's, juniors and veteran sides. Olton & West Warwicks men's first X1 play in the Men's England Hockey League Division One North. and the women's first X1 play in the England Hockey League Investec Conference West.
