2007 Troy Trojans Football Team
The 2007 Troy Trojans football team represented Troy University as a member of the Sun Belt Conference during the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by 17th-year head coach Larry Blakeney, the Trojans compiled an overall record of 8–4 with a mark of 6–1 in conference play, sharing the Sun Belt title with 2007 Florida Atlantic Owls football team, Florida Atlantic. This was the second consecutive season in which Troy captured a share of the conference title. The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is a collegiate athletic conference that has been affiliated with the NCAA's Division I since 1976. Originally a non-football conference, the Sun Belt began sponsoring football in 2001. Its football teams participate in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The ASU Stadium on the campus of Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama is a 26,500-seat stadium that replaces the Cramton Bowl as the host venue for the Alabama State Hornets football team. The first game in the second ASU Stadium was the 89th Turkey Day Classic on November 22, 2012 in which the Hornets hosted the Tuskegee Golden Tigers.
