2007 Tour EP
''2007 Tour EP'' is a tour EP by Kevin Devine released during his 2007 U.S. tour opening for the bands Brand New and Manchester Orchestra. The EP contains mostly covers, along with a new version of "Wolf's Mouth" (originally from ''Make The Clocks Move'') and an acoustic version of "You'll Only End Up Joining Them" (originally from ''Put Your Ghost to Rest''). The EP contains songs played during that tour. Three tracks ("Harvest Moon," "Holland, 1945," and "Wolf's Mouth") were included as bonus tracks on the vinyl release of ''Put Your Ghost to Rest''. All the tracks from this EP later served as b-sides to the 2009 Splitting Up Christmas UK single. Kevin Devine
Kevin Devine (born December 19, 1979) is an American songwriter and musician from Staten Island, New York City, who is known for his introspective and political themes. He is a contemporary member of the underground indie rock and indie folk musical scenes, and his influences range from older indie artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliott Smith and Pavement to more mainstream and well known acts such as Nirvana and Bob Dylan. In 2013, Kevin Devine rejoined his previous band, Miracle of 86, for a series of reunion shows. Joey (Concrete Blonde Song)
"Joey" is the ninth track from American alternative rock band Concrete Blonde's third studio album, ''Bloodletting'' (1990). The song was released in 1990 and was written and sung by the band's frontwoman, Johnette Napolitano. The song was written in a cab on the way to a photo studio in Philadelphia; it was the last vocal recorded on the album due to Napolitano's reluctance to record the lyrics, which were hard for her to deal with. The song became the group's biggest hit, spending four weeks atop the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart and crossing over to pop radio, reaching number 19 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100; it remains their only charting song on the latter listing. The song also reached number two in Australia and ended 1990 as Australia's sixteenth best-selling single. Jeff Mangum (born 24 October 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who gained prominence as the founder, songwriter, vocalist and guitarist of Neutral Milk Hotel, as well for his co-founding of The Elephant 6 Recording Company. "Holland, 1945" is a song by American indie rock group Neutral Milk Hotel. It was released as the only single from the band's second and final studio album ''In the Aeroplane Over the Sea'' in October 1998. "Holland, 1945" is one of the album's louder, more upbeat songs, featuring overdriven and distorted guitars. The song also showcases fuzz noise on all of the instruments, a quality created by producer Robert Schneider. David Bazan
David Bazan (; born January 22, 1976) is an American indie rock singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona who now resides in Seattle, Washington. Bazan is the lead singer and creative force behind the band Pedro the Lion and was the lead singer of Headphones. In early 2006, he began performing and recording under his own name. ''Harvest Moon'' is the 19th studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, released on November 2, 1992. Many of its backing musicians also appeared on Young's 1972 album ''Harvest''. Recordings Recovering from a case of tinnitus that had come about after the recording of ''Ragged Glory'' (1990) and its subsequent tour (which produced the 1991 albums '' Weld'' and '' Arc''), Young returned to the studio with Ben Keith, picking up the acoustic guitar, piano and banjo that had dominated albums such as ''Harvest'', ''Comes a Time'' and ''Old Ways''. 1970s-era analogue equipment was used instead of digital recording to achieve a "warmer" feel, though the album was in fact recorded on Sony PCM 16/44.1kHz digital. Johnette Napolitano (born Jonette L. Napolitano; September 22, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter and bassist best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and bassist for the alternative rock group Concrete Blonde. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
