2007 Seniors Torneo Godó
The 2007 Seniors Torneo Godó was the second edition of the Seniors Torneo Godó and it took place from April 19–22, 2007. Tie breaks were used for the first two sets of each match, which was the best of three sets. If the score was tied at one set all, a "champions tie break" (the first player to win at least 10 points or by a margin of two points) would be used. Sergi Bruguera was the defending champion and successfully defended his title, by defeating Jordi Arrese 4–6, 6–1, 0–2in an all-Spaniard final. Draw The list of players was confirmed in March 2007. Sergi Bruguera
Sergi Bruguera i Torner (; born 16 January 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. He won consecutive men's singles titles at the French Open in 1993 and 1994, a silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in men's singles and reached a career-high ranking of No. 3 in August 1994. Bruguera is the only player to have a winning record against both Roger Federer and Pete Sampras. He won three of his five matches against Sampras: Bruguera leads 1–0 on hard court, 2–1 on clay, and Sampras leads 1–0 on carpet. In their only match, at the 2000 Barcelona Open, Bruguera defeated Federer 6–1, 6–1. By number of games won, the match remains Federer's worst loss in his entire career. Jordi Arrese i Castañé (; born 29 August 1964) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Born in Barcelona, Arrese won the men's singles silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in his home town. Torneo Godó
The Barcelona Open (currently sponsored by Banc Sabadell) is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players. The event has been held in Barcelona, Spain every year from 1953 (except for its cancellation in 2020), and is played on clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona. It was an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit from 1970–1989, except in 1971 when it was part of the World Championship Tennis (WCT) circuit, although it was also open to non-WCT players. The tournament is currently part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the ATP Tour. It is also known as Torneo Godó, Trofeo Conde de Godó, and Open Banc Sabadell. Richard Krajicek
Richard Peter Stanislav Krajicek ( cz, Krajíček; born 6 December 1971) is a Dutch former professional tennis player. In 1996, he won the men's singles title at Wimbledon, and remains the only Dutch player to have won a major singles title. John McEnroe
John Patrick McEnroe Jr. (born February 16, 1959) is an American former professional tennis player. Carl-Uwe Steeb (born 1 September 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Steeb turned professional in 1986. He won his first top-level singles title in 1989 in Gstaad. Henri Leconte (born 4 July 1963) is a French former professional tennis player. He reached the men's singles final at the French Open in 1988, won the French Open men's doubles title in 1984, and helped France win the Davis Cup in 1991. Thomas Muster (born 2 October 1967) is an Austrian former world No. 1 tennis player. One of the world's leading clay court players in the 1990s, he won the 1995 French Open and at his peak was called "The King of Clay". In addition, he won eight Masters 1000 Series titles. Emilio Ángel Sánchez Vicario (born 29 May 1965) is a Spanish former doubles world No. 1 tennis player. He won five Grand Slam doubles titles and the men's doubles silver medal at the 1988 Olympic Games.
