2007 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
The 2007 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain was the fifth season of the one-make championship. It consisted of 20 rounds, beginning on 31 March at Brands Hatch and finishing on 14 October at Thruxton. The series supported the British Touring Car Championship throughout the season. James Sutton won the championship at his first attempt, ahead of Tim Harvey and Steven Kane after a close points battle. Entry List * All drivers raced in Porsche 911 GT3s. 2007 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 50th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It was won by Fabrizio Giovanardi with 10 race wins and 17 podiums. Going into the final race, Fabrizio Giovanardi was one point behind Jason Plato but a second place for Giovanardi and a fourth place for Plato resulted in Giovanardi taking the championship by 3 points. The Teams' championship was won by SEAT Sport UK, the Manufacturers' championship was won by Vauxhall, the Independents' Trophy was won by Colin Turkington and the Independent Teams' championship was won by Team RAC. Jeremy Metcalfe (born 9 April 1988 in Fleet, Hampshire) is a British motor racing driver who last competed in 2008 in the British GT Championship where he finished the season as Vice-Champion along with team-mate Luke Hines. Oliver Jonathan Turvey (born 1 April 1987) is a British professional racing driver, who most recently competed in Formula E, and is currently signed to McLaren as a test driver. Nathan Freke (born 8 September 1983) is a racing driver. He was the 2006 British Formula Ford Champion. Freke has held four British Kart Racing Championship Titles and in 2005 became the only driver ever to win an FIA/CIK Superkart Race in a Division 2 Kart against Division 1 Karts, (50% power differential). Nick Leason
Nick Leason (born 23 August 1968 in Purley, London) is a British racing driver. Career In 2007, Leason drove in the British Touring Car Championship. Leason had initially planned to compete in the Daniels Motorsport-run Vauxhall Astra Coupe he had raced in the two final rounds of the 2006 season. However, this project was abandoned during pre-season and Leason was instead confirmed as a driver for BTC Racing in a Lexus teamed with Chris Stockton. He did not race at Croft that year and after persistent reliability troubles he decided to abort his full season campaign. Leason achieved a final championship position of 24th. Maxwell Fraser (14 June 1957 – 23 December 2022), better known by his stage name Maxi Jazz, was a British musician, rapper, singer, songwriter and DJ.
