2007 PFC CSKA Moscow Season
The 2007 Russian football season, saw CSKA Moscow competed in the Russian Premier League, Russian Super Cup, Russian Cup, the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. CSKA were defending Premier League champions but could not successfully defend it, finishing 3rd. They also failed to defend their 2005/06 Cup crown, getting knocked out at the Sixth Round stage by Krylia Sovetov during the 2006/07 Cup. They did however win all their games from the 2007/08 cup that were played in 2007, progressing to the semi-finals by the end of the 2007 season. CSKA did however retain their Russian Super Cup. After being eliminated to the UEFA Cup during the 2006/07 European campaign, they were knocked out by Maccabi Haifa at the Round of 32. CSKA qualified directly for the group stage of the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League, however they did not make it out of the group, after being drawn with Inter Milan, Fenerbahçe and PSV Eindhoven, finishing bottom of the group with 1 point. Sergei Nikolayevich Ignashevich ( rus, link=no, Сергей Николаевич Игнашевич, p=sʲɪrˈɡʲej nʲɪkɐˈla(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ ɪɡnɐˈʂɛvʲɪtɕ; born 14 July 1979) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player who played as central defender. He is the manager of Baltika Kaliningrad. He began his career at Torpedo Moscow, going up through the club's academy before briefly moving to twin club Spartak Moscow's academy and then starting his professional career with Spartak Orekhovo. He played for Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow in his career, and has won Russian Premier League titles for both clubs, as well as the 2005 UEFA Cup Final with CSKA. FC Dynamo Moscow (''FC Dynamo Moskva'', russian: Дина́мо Москва́ ) is a Russian football club based in Moscow. Dynamo returned to the Russian Premier League for the 2017–18 season after one season in the second-tier Russian Football National League. Dynamo was the only club that had always played in the top tier of Soviet football (along with Dynamo Kyiv) and of Russian football from the end of the Soviet era until they were relegated in 2016. Trudovye Rezervy (russian: Трудовые резервы; English: Workforce/Labour Reserves) — one of the Voluntary Sports Societies of the USSR. It was to involve in physical culture and sports the students of the country's vocational schools, while higher education students were admitted to Burevestnik (" Storm-petrel") society. FC Kuban Krasnodar
FC Kuban (russian: link=no, Футбольный клуб "Кубань" Краснодар) was a Russian football club based in Krasnodar. The team began playing in the Russian Premier League in 2011, after it was promoted for winning the Russian First Division. FC Kuban was one of the oldest football clubs in Russia. Founded as Dynamo of the Krasnodar NKVD, FC Kuban changed its affiliations because of changing politics in the USSR. Club members and fans were called "Kubantsy" () (because of its Kuban, location) or "yellow-greens" (the club colours). The team was also known as the "Cossacks" by fans. Yevgeny Valeryevich Pomazan (russian: Евгений Валерьевич Помазан; born 31 January 1989) is a Russian footballer. Career Pomazan previously played for FC Kuban Krasnodar. He was part of the Russian Under 17 squad that won the 2006 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. In 2007, he represented Europe at the Meridian Cup, which the European team won 10–1 on aggregate over two games. On the final day of the transfer window in the summer of 2007, Pomazan signed on loan with CSKA Moscow.
