2007 Norwegian Third Division
The 2007 season of the ''3. divisjon'', the fourth highest association football league for men in Norway. Between 18 and 26 games (depending on group size) were played in 24 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Twelve teams were promoted to the 2. divisjon through playoff. Association Football
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Traditionally, the game has been played over two 45 minute halves, for a total match time of 90 minutes. With an estimated 250 million players active in over 200 countries, it is considered the world's most popular sport. Nesodden Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Nesodden. It has sections for association football, athletics, basketball, table tennis, fencing, orienteering, skiing and speed skating. Founded on 24 July 1920, their home field is Berger stadion. The club colors are black and white. The handball section broke away in 1992 to form Nesodden HK. Norwegian reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the Norwegian football league system apart from the top two divisions, Eliteserien and 1. divisjon. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the 2. divisjon, set at the third tier of the league system. The reserve teams are attached to their first teams with a "2" suffix and must play in a lower league than the first team. Furthermore, if a club's first team plays in the 1. divisjon, the reserves team cannot play in the 2. divisjon either. If a reserve team ends up at a promotion spot when it is not allowed to be promoted, the promotion is awarded to best following team in the league standings which is allowed to be promoted. Also, a reserve team is forcefully relegated, regardless of the final league position, if it is no longer qualified for playing at that level - i.e. if the first team is relegated to a league level where the reserve team's level is no longer allowed. Bøler Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Bøler, Østensjø, Oslo. It has sections for association football, team handball, track and field and tennis. It formerly had a section for Nordic skiing. It was founded on 24 October 1958. The club colors are yellow and blue. Grüner Idrettslag is a Norwegian alliance sports club from Grünerløkka, Oslo. It has sections for association football, team handball and ice hockey, formally named ''Grüner Fotball IL '', ''Grüner Håndball IL'' and ''Grüner Ishockey IL''. The club colors are purple. It was founded on 14 October 1952 as a merger of the teams ''Strong'', ''B14'' and ''Spero'', but it counts 1914, founding date of B14, as its own founding date. The club was founded on 24 November 1997 as a merger between ''Smedstua IL'' and Stovnerkameratene BK. It counted the founding date of Smedstua, 20 August 1970, as its founding date. Kolbotn IL Fotball is a sub-section under the sports club Kolbotn IL from Kolbotn, Norway. The club started football in 1916 and organized football as a semi-autonomous sub-section in 1960.
