2007 Men's Oceania Cup
The 2007 Men's Oceania Cup was the fifth edition of the men's field hockey tournament. It was held from 11 to 16 September in Buderim. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2008 Olympic Games. Jamie Dwyer
Jamie Dwyer (born 12 March 1979) is an Australian field hockey player. He currently plays for YMCC Coastal City Hockey Club in the Melville Toyota League in Perth, Western Australia. He also played for the Queensland Blades in the Australian Hockey League. He debuted for Australia as a junior player in 1995, and for the senior side in 2001. He has played over 350 matches for Australia and scored over 220 goals. He has represented Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics where he won a gold medal and the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics where Australia won bronze medals. He has also represented Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games where he won a gold medal and the 2010 Commonwealth Games where he also won gold. James Nation
James Henry Nation (born 23 September 1976, in Waipukurau) is a field hockey player from New Zealand who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed ''The Black Sticks'', in 2001 against Malaysia. The midfielder provides support at centre and left half and is also an attacking penalty corner option. He made his test debut in 2001, but did not make the team to the Commonwealth Games a year later. he had over 105 caps for the team and was a very experienced player in the squad at the time. Hayden Shaw
Hayden Jonathan Shaw (born 31 August 1980) is a field hockey player from New Zealand. Shaw was born in Christchurch. He earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed ''The Black Sticks'', in 2002 against Australia. Shaw was often involved in penalty corner routines performing drag flicks. As a result, he was top scorer with 13 goals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games whilst winning a silver medal with the national team. After the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup, Shaw was selected for the World Cup All Star team. He has played club hockey for HC 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Shaw also played first-class cricket for Canterbury. He now works as a teacher at Pleasant Point Primary School in South Canterbury, having started in January 2019. Phillip Ross Burrows (born 25 April 1980 in Wellington) is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed ''The Black Sticks'', in January 2000. The striker is New Zealand's top field goal scorer and was named ''2003 New Zealand Player of the Year''. Shea McAleese
Shea Joseph McAleese (born 7 August 1984) is a New Zealand field hockey player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 Olympics. He was part of the New Zealand team that won the bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Youngest son of Dan and Margie McAleese. Has an older brother and sister, Jonathan and Aimee. Shea McAleese played at Uhlenhorster HC, Uhlenhorster Hockey Club in Hamburg from 2007 till 2009. With the Team he won the Euro Hockey League Euro Hockey League 2007-08, 2007–2008. He also helped his team to a second-place finish in the competition in the Euro Hockey League 2008-09, 2008–2009 Season, when they were defeated by HC Bloemendaal of The Netherlands. Nigel Iggo is an international field hockey umpire, from Canterbury, New Zealand. He is on the International Hockey Federation (FIH) World Development Panel, for upgrading to the World Panel. Nathan Eglington Order of Australia, OAM (born 2 December 1980 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales) is a field hockey midfielder and striker from Australia, who was a member of the team that won the golden medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is nicknamed ''Eggy'', and played domestic hockey for the Queensland Blades in his native country Australia, with whom he won the national title in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007. Eglington made his international debut in 2002, in a test series game against South Korea in Adelaide, scoring twice. Travis Brooks
Travis Neil Brooks OAM (born 16 July 1980 in Melbourne, Victoria) is a field hockey forward from Australia, who won the gold medal with the Men's National Team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He made his international debut in Canberra, on 15 February 2003, during the second Test of the series against the Netherlands, and played a starring role in The Kookaburras Sultan Azlan Shah Cup win in January 2004 with two goals in the final. Brooks played in the Australian team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, winning a bronze medal. Travis Brooks retired from International Hockey in November 2008 with 143 International Cap after competing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
