2007 Malmö FF Season
The 2007 season was Malmö FF's 96th in existence, their 72nd season in Allsvenskan and their 7th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan where they finished in 9th position and Svenska Cupen where they were knocked out in the third round. The result in Allsvenskan was the club's worst league performance since the 2001 season when they also finished 9th, as a result of this, manager Sören Åkebys contract was not renewed and Roland Nilsson was announced as the new Malmö FF manager in October 2007. Malmö FF
Malmö Fotbollförening, commonly known as Malmö FF, Malmö, or MFF, is a professional football club and the most successful football club in Sweden in terms of trophies won. Formed in 1910 and affiliated with the Scania Football Association, Malmö FF is based at Eleda Stadion in Malmö, Scania. The club has won a record 22 Swedish championship titles and the most national cup titles with 15. Malmö FF won its first Championship in 1944. The powerhouse of Swedish football in recent years, Malmö FF also saw glory in the 1970s, winning five Swedish championships and four Svenska Cupen titles. Malmö FF remains the only club from the Nordic countries to have reached the final of the European Cup, the predecessor of the UEFA Champions League. Jimmy Dixon
Jimmy Dixon (born 10 October 1981) is a Liberian football coach and former player who is assistant coach at Swedish club Assyriska BK. A defender, he spent most of his career in Sweden and Turkey. Between 1999 and 2012, he made 24 appearances for the Liberia national team. Club career Born in Tubmanburg, Dixon began his career with Mark Professionals before moving to Swedish side Floda BoIF in 2000. After two seasons, Dixon moved to BK Häcken, spending five seasons at the club and attracting attention from English club Arsenal. Dixon signed for Malmö FF in time for the 2007 season, on a three-year contract. In 2009, Dixon moved to Turkey, to sign for Manisaspor. He re-joined BK Häcken in 2012, before signing for Turkish club Boluspor Boluspor is a Turkish professional football club located in the city of Bolu. Ola Toivonen
Nils Ola Toivonen (; born 3 July 1986) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or forward. After beginning his career in his home town team of Degerfors, he spent time in the top flight for Örgryte before he got signed by Malmö FF before the 2007 season. Having spent two seasons with Malmö, breaking through with 14 league goals in 2008, he joined Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven in January 2009. Toivonen remained there for five-and-a-half seasons, winning the KNVB Cup in 2012, until a €2.5 million move to Rennes. After a successful spell with Rennes in Ligue 1, Toivonen represented Sunderland in the Premier League before returning to France in 2016 to suit up for Toulouse. Johan Andersson (footballer Born 1983)
Johan Rickard Andersson (born 22 August 1983) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Johan Andersson was reunited with his former coach Janne Jönsson from his early Landskrona career when he joined Stabæk ahead of the 2008 season. He scored two goals in his league debut for Stabæk at home against Lillestrøm in a 4–2 victory. In total he ended up scoring 12 goals in 25 games from midfield in the league, only behind team-mate Daniel Nannskog in the goal scoring chart when Stabæk won their first ever league title. In Stabæks UEFA Cup run he was involved in both matches against Rennes as they narrowly lost out in the group phase. Edward Ofere (born 28 March 1986) is a Nigerian Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker for FC Trelleborg in Division 3 (Swedish football)#Division 3 Södra Götaland, Division 3 Södra Götaland. Christian Järdler
Christian Järdler (born 3 June 1982) is a Swedish manager or Örebro SK and former footballer. Career Starting his career in Ängelholms FF, he then moved at the age of 17 to Helsingborgs IF, after being on trial at Halmstads BK. During the middle of the 2005 season he decided to leave Helsingborg and sign for Turkish side Gençlerbirliği. However, his spell with the club lasted only for half a season before Järdler returned home to Sweden and Malmö FF. During his time in Malmö, he suffered a serious injury in a league match against Hammarby IF, when he collided with teammate Raoul Kouakou. Jon Inge Høiland (born 20 September 1977) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He has been capped 25 times while playing for Norway. Høiland played for Bryne and Kongsvinger in Norway, before he moved to the Swedish side IFK Göteborg in 1999. He stayed in Sweden until 2007, except for a spell on loan with 1. Charalambos "Babis" Stefanidis ( el, Χαράλαμπος "Μπάμπης" Στεφανίδης; born 8 March 1981) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, and now manager. Yksel Osmanovski ( Turkish: Yüksel Osmanoğlu; born 24 February 1977) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker. Starting off his career with Malmö FF in the mid-1990s, he went on to represent Bari, Torino, and Bordeaux before retiring at Malmö FF in 2007. He was the first-choice captain of the Finland national team between 1996 and 2008 in an international career that ran from 1989 to 2010. Niklas Skoog
Jan Niklas Skoog (born 15 June 1974) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was the Allsvenskan top scorer in 1995 with Västra Frölunda IF and in 2003 with Malmö FF. A full international between 2002 and 2004, he appeared nine times for the Sweden national team, scoring four goals.
