Jacques Martin (TV Host)
Jacques Martin (22 June 1933 – 14 September 2007) was a French television host and producer. Life and career Martin was born in Lyon. In the late 1960s, he formed a comical duet of hosts on radio Europe 1 with French actor Jean Yanne. In the early 1970s, he was the sidekick of Danièle Gilbert, the host of ''Midi Première''. Martin created and hosted such popular satirical TV shows such as ''Le Petit Rapporteur'' ("The Little Snitch, 1975–1976, TF1) and ''La Lorgnette'' ("The Opera Glasses", 1976–1977, Antenne 2). He also tried a film career, writing and directing one film (''Na !'', 1973) and playing in others such as ''La Passante du Sans-Souci'', without great success. ''5, Rue Sésame'' is a French language children's television series based on the popular U.S. children's show ''Sesame Street'', aired by France 5. This series is the second Sesame Workshop co-production for France, the first being ''1, rue Sésame''. Seventy-five 26-minute-long episodes were created for the two seasons, directed by François Basset and Jul Mallard. The series is produced for France 5 by Expand-Drama with Sesame Workshop. ''Star Academy'' is a French reality television. It was produced by the Dutch company Endemol. It consists of a contest of young singers. ''Sushi Pack'' is an animated action-adventure television series created by Studio Espinosa and developed by Tom Ruegger and Nicholas Hollander. Produced by DIC Entertainment Corporation and CloudCo, Inc. that aired for two seasons and 52 episodes on the KEWLopolis programming block of CBS from November 3, 2007 to February 28, 2009. ''Secret Story 2007'' was the first edition of the French version of the reality show Big Brother carrying on from the previous similar show, Loft Story. It aired on TF1 and was presented by Benjamin Castaldi who had that role Loft Story. The series started on 23 June 2007, when 15 people entered a purpose-built house on the outskirts of Paris, France. Principle The principle is similar to that of Loft Story.
