2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships was the second edition of the ISAF Sailing World Championships and was held in Cascais, Portugal on the Portuguese Riviera from 28 June to 13 July. Venue The venue for the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships was Cascais and racing was held on five race areas off Cascais. Cascais
Cascais () is a town and municipality in the Lisbon District of Portugal, located on the Portuguese Riviera. The municipality has a total of 214,158 inhabitants in an area of 97.40 km2. Sven Coster
Sven Erik Coster (born 2 December 1978, in Leiden) is a sailor from the Netherlands. Coster represented his country for the first time at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. With his brother Kalle Coster as crew Coster took 6th place as helmsman in the Dutch Men's 470. Coster's second Olympic appearance was during the 2008 Olympics in Qingdao again as helmsman in the 470 and his brother as crew, Coster took the 4th place. Also with Kalle as crew in the 470 Coster helmed the Dutch 470 at the 2012 Olympics in Weymouth. The brothers finished on the 12th place. Nikolaus Resch is an Austrian sailor. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, he and team-mate, Nico Delle Karth, Nico Delle-Karth, competed in the mixed Skiff 49er event, finishing in 10th place. They competed at together again at the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing in 8th place. Ben Rhodes (sailor)
Ben Christopher Rhodes (born 10 May 1981 in Southampton) is a British sailor. Together with teammate Stevie Morrison, Rhodes became the 2007 World champion in the 49er boat. In 2008, they won the silver medal in the same event, behind the Australians Nathan Outteridge and Ben Austin, while in 2006, they won the bronze medal. Education Rhodes was educated at two co-educational independent schools: at ''St. Peter's School'' in the coastal village of Lympstone in Devon, followed by ''Exeter School'', in the city of Exeter (also in Devon), in South West England. Stevie Morrison
Stephen James "Stevie" Morrison (born 25 November 1978, in Eastbourne) is a successful British yachtsman who has enjoyed success in a classes from the International Cadet to the 49er. He is the son of Phil Morrison, the British yacht designer. Education Morrison was educated at The Beacon Church of England Primary School, a voluntary aided state primary school in the port city of Exmouth in Devon, followed by Exeter School, a co-educational independent school in the city of Exeter (also in Devon), in South West England. Saskia Clark
Saskia Clark, (born 23 August 1979 in Colchester, Essex) is a British sailor and Olympic Gold medalist. She competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and she was selected, along with Hannah Mills, to sail in the 470 Women's class for Team GB. They went on to win silver at the 2012 Olympic games and a gold medal at the 2016 games. Marcelien Bos-de Koning (born 10 May 1978) is a Dutch three-time world champion and Olympic silver medalist sports sailor. She represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Qingdao.
