2007 FITA Archery World Cup
The 2007 Archery World Cup was the 2nd edition of the international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. The best individual and mixed performers in each discipline over the three legs then joined host representatives in qualifying for the Finals. Competition rules and scoring The compound legs consisted of a 50m qualification round of 72 arrows, followed by the compound round at 50m on a 6-zone target face, using cumulative scoring for all individual, team and mixed competitions. The top four individual performers (with no more than two from each country) proceeded to the finals. The recurve legs consisted of a FITA qualification round, followed by a 72m Olympic set system . Archery World Cup
The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four stages in four countries and the best eight archers of each category (from 2010, four archers during 2006-09) advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online. It has received plaudits for its innovative approach to the sport, raising its profile and reach. Balzhinima Tsyrenzhapovich Tsyrempilov (russian: Бальжинима́ Цыренжа́пович Цыремпи́лов, links=no, ''Balzhinimá Tsyrenzhápovich Tsyrempílov'', born April 9, 1975 in Ulekchin, Zakamensky District, Buryatia) is a World Cup-winning and former world number one Buryat archer from Russia. 2004 Summer Olympics Tsyrempilov competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's individual archery. Hanna Anatoleuna Marusava, née Karasiova ( be, Ганна Анатолеўна Марусава (Карасёва); born 8 January 1978) is an athlete from Belarus. She competes in archery. Karasiova represented Belarus at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She placed 62nd in the women's individual ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 588. In the first round of elimination, she faced 3rd-ranked Yun Mi Jin of Korea. Karasiova lost 162–155 in the 18-arrow match, placing 37th overall in women's individual archery. Yun Ok-hee (Korean: 윤옥희, Hanja: 尹玉姬, ; born 1 March 1985) is a South Korean archer, who won the gold medal in the team and a silver in the individual competition at the 2006 Asian Games and is a former world number one. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Yun finished her ranking round with a total of 667 points, six points behind ranking leader Park Sung-hyun. This gave her the second seed for the final competition bracket in which she faced Albina Kamaltdinova in the first round, beating the archer from Tajikistan 109-102. In the second round, Yun was too strong for Marie-Pier Beaudet (114-107) and via Chen Ling (113-103) in the third round she advanced to the quarter finals. Choi Eun-young (born March 3, 1984) is a South Korean writer. She began her literary career in 2013, when her short story “Shokoui miso” (쇼코의 미소; Shoko's Smile) was selected for the quarterly literary magazine Writer's World's New Writer's Award. With the same work, she received the 5th Munhakdongne Young Writer's Award in 2014. She was awarded the 8th Heo Gyun Writer's Award in 2016, and was awarded the 8th Munhakdongne Young Writer's award in 2017. Life Choi Eun-young was born on March 3, 1984, in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggido. Park Sung-hyun (; born 1 January 1983) is an archer from South Korea who competed in two Olympic Games, winning three gold medals. Park made her international archery debut in 2001, winning the women's recurve title at that year's World Archery Championships. Her Olympic debut came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she won gold medals in both the women's individual and women's team events. She won two further medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics, achieving her third Olympic gold in the women's team event before earning the silver medal as the runner-up in the women's individual event. Simon Duncan Terry (27 March 1974 – July 2021) was a British archer from Grantham in Lincolnshire, England. Early life Terry was born on 27 March 1974 in Stirling, the son of Mike and Janice Terry. With the help of his father, Terry first began practising archery when he was eight years old. At the age of nine he won his first competition. He competes in archery. 2008 Summer Olympics Wills represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Archery at the 2008 Summer Olympics, competing in the men's individual and team archery.
