The 2007 Edmonton Eskimos season, saw the team finish fourth in the West Division with a 5–12–1 record and fail to make the playoffs. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division (CFL), East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Richard Alston (Canadian Football)
Richard Alston (born November 20, 1980) is a former professional gridiron football wide receiver and return specialist who played for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Edmonton Eskimos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Alston played college football for the East Carolina Pirates as a quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. While at East Carolina University, Alston studied economics. After failing to make the Browns' regular season roster in 2003, he was allocated to the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe, where he became a World Bowl champion. Daryl Stephenson
Daryl Stephenson (born October 8, 1985) is a former professional Canadian football running back. He was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2008 and played with that franchise for three seasons. Stephenson then played for two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He played collegiately for the University of Windsor Lancers. College A tailback at 230 pounds with 4.7 speed in the 40-yard dash, Stephenson established himself as a leading rusher in Canadian University Football. Aaron Fiacconi (born November 12, 1979, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) is a retired professional Canadian football offensive lineman. He announced his retirement on June 2, 2012. He most recently played for five seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. 2008 CFL Draft
The 2008 CFL Draft took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, live at 12:00 PM ET on TSN.ca. A total of 48 players were chosen from among 752 eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. Of the 48 draft selections, 33 players were drafted from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions. The first two rounds were broadcast on TSN.ca with host Rod Black. CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon was in the studio to announce each selection. The CFL on TSN panel included Duane Forde, Greg Marshall, Brian Towriss, Farhan Lalji, Jock Climie, Matt Dunigan, and Chris Schultz who analyzed the teams' needs and picks. Patrick Jevon Johnson (born August 10, 1976) is a former American football wide receiver. Johnson majored in Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon from 1994 to 1997, and attended the Craig James Broadcast School in 2000. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jon Landon
Jonathon Landon (born July 25, 1979) is a former offensive lineman for the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts. He was traded to the Edmonton Eskimos in February 2007 for future considerations but he chose to retire and begin his teaching career and raise his family in Ottawa, Ontario.
