2007 Eastern Michigan Eagles Football Team
The 2007 Eastern Michigan Eagles football team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Eastern Michigan competed as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) West Division. The team was coached by Jeff Genyk and played their homes game in Rynearson Stadium. Jeff Genyk
Jeff Genyk ( ; born August 22, 1960) is an American football coach and former player. He most recently served as the special teams coordinator for Northwestern. Genyk served as the head football coach at Eastern Michigan University from 2004 to 2008, compiling a record of 16–42 in five seasons. He was a television analyst for Atlantic Coast Conference football for ESPN during the 2009 season. Early career Genyk was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was raised in nearby Milan, Michigan. Jeff's father George Genyk played college football for the University of Michigan Wolverines, and served as a captain on the 1959 team. George was drafted by the New York Titans in the first tier of the 1960 American Football League draft. Glass Bowl
The Glass Bowl is a stadium in Toledo, Ohio. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the American football team of the University of Toledo Rockets. It is located on the school's Bancroft campus, just south of the banks of the Ottawa River. Known for its blend of old and new, it retains the traditional stonework around the field throughout all its expansions. Michigan MAC Trophy
The Michigan MAC Trophy is given to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) university from Michigan – Central Michigan University (CMU), Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and Western Michigan University (WMU) – which has the best head-to-head record in each season of each sport. There are two separate trophies, one for football and the other for men's basketball. It is one of a handful of trophies in college sports contested between ''three'' teams; others are the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy and the irregularly awarded Florida Cup and Beehive Boot. The 2007 Western Michigan Broncos football team represented Western Michigan University in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Bill Cubit and played their homes game in Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Broncos finished the season 5–7 overall and 3–4 in the Mid-American Conference.
