2007 Copa Panamericana
The Copa Panamericana 2007 was a minor football club tournament organized by DIRECTV between July 16 and July 22 in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, United States. The tournament was divided in two groups of three, who played each other once, with the top club in each group progressing to the final match. The champion, Cruz Azul, received $250,000. Club de Futbol Cruz Azul or simply Cruz Azul () is a professional football club based in Mexico City, Mexico. It competes in the Liga MX, the top division of Mexican football. Because "azul" means "blue" in Spanish, the club has traditionally worn a blue home kit. Martín Palermo (; born 7 November 1973) is an Argentine football manager and former player who played as a striker. He is the current manager of Platense. Miguel Sabah Rodríguez (born 14 November 1979) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a striker. Throughout his career, he played for Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Monarcas Morelia, and Club León. Sabah made his debut in the Invierno 2000 with Guadalajara entering in the 46th minute.
