2007 Buffalo Bills Season
The 2007 Buffalo Bills season was the 38th season for the team in the National Football League and their 48th season overall. The Bills finished their 2007 season with a record of 7–9 and tied their 7–9 record in 2006, but failed to qualify for the playoffs, and continues a playoff appearance drought since the 1999–2000 season. The 8-year playoff drought became the longest such stretch in team history. The opening game of the season was notable in that tight end Kevin Everett was injured on a kickoff. Everett sustained a fracture and dislocation of his cervical spine that his doctors characterized as "life-threatening" the day after the injury, and stated it was likely to leave him with permanent neurological impairment. Vincent Lamar Wilfork (born November 4, 1981) is a former American football nose tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons, primarily with the New England Patriots. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes football, University of Miami and was drafted by the Patriots in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He also played two seasons for the Houston Texans before retiring following the 2016 season. John Wendling
John Wendling (born June 4, 1983) is a former American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wyoming. During the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Wendling saw most of his playing time as a gunner on special teams. He led the Bills in special teams tackles in 2009, and also led the Lions in 2010. College career Wendling redshirted as a freshman in 2002. In his redshirt freshman season, he played on special teams, ending up with two blocked kicks. The 2006 Fresno State football team represented California State University, Fresno in the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They played their home games at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California and were coached by Pat Hill. Dwayne Wright (born June 2, 1983) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Paul Michael Posluszny (; born October 10, 1984) is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, primarily with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played college football at Penn State University, where he earned consensus All-American honors twice, and was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. The 2006 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley, in the 2006 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They played their home games at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California, and were coached by Jeff Tedford. The Bears began the season with a number 12 ranking.
