2007 Arizona Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2007 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2007 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium. The team was coached by Andy Lopez in his 6th season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished with a record of 42-17 (15-9 Conf.) and were selected to the NCAA tournament for the 4th time under Andy Lopez's leadership, losing in the Wichita Regional final to Wichita State. Previous season The Wildcats finished the 2006 season with a record of 27-28 (12-12 Conf.), missing the postseason for the first time since Andy Lopez's first season in 2002 and only the second time in his tenure. Andy Lopez
Andrew Lopez (born November 30, 1953) is a retired American college baseball coach. He was most recently the head baseball coach at University of Arizona, and has served as the head baseball coach at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Pepperdine, and Florida. Lopez compiled an overall win–loss record of 1,177–742–7 in thirty-three seasons as a head coach. He is one of only three coaches to lead three different programs to the College World Series and one of only two coaches, along with Augie Garrido, to win the College World Series with two different programs. His Division I teams (Pepperdine, Florida, and Arizona) have appeared in the postseason seventeen out of twenty-six seasons. He has earned National Coach of the Year honors two times, and Conference Coach of the Year honors eight times. Brad Glenn
Bradley Edward Glenn (born April 2, 1987) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in six games for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2014. Career Glenn played college baseball for the University of Arizona and in 2007 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted in the 17th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the Oakland Athletics, but did not sign. He was later drafted in the 23rd round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, and signed with the team. Glenn was assigned to the Low-A Auburn Doubledays for the 2009 season, where he batted .221 over 64 games. New Mexico Lobos Baseball
New Mexico Lobos baseball is a college baseball program of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Lobos have won three conference tournaments, finished first in regular season conference play eight times, and appeared in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship five times. The team plays their home games on the University of New Mexico campus at Santa Ana Star Field. Tod Brown has been the head coach of the Lobos since the 2022 season. Utah Valley Wolverines Baseball
The Utah Valley Wolverines represent Utah Valley University in NCAA DI collegiate athletics and sponsor 16 sporting programs. The Wolverines participate in the Western Athletic Conference. The school mascot is the Wolverine, and the colors are green and white. The UVU student section is called The Den. A name change from The Mawl, the student section's previous name, was enacted in 2017. All UVU students can get their Den pass, which includes free admission to all athletic events. The Gonzaga Bulldogs baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of Gonzaga University, located in Spokane, Washington, United States. The NCAA Division I program has been a member of the West Coast Conference since 1996 and its home venue is Washington Trust Field and Patterson Baseball Complex, opened on Gonzaga's campus in 2007. The designated hitter (DH) is a baseball player who bats in place of another position player, most commonly the pitcher. The position is authorized by Major League Baseball Rule 5.11.
