2006–07 Orlando Magic Season
The 2006–07 Orlando Magic season was the team's 18th in the NBA. They began the season hoping to improve upon their 36–46 output from the previous season. They best it by four wins, finishing 40–42, qualifying for the playoffs. A four-game sweep to the Detroit Pistons in the opening round eliminated the Magic from the playoffs. Following the season, Grant Hill signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns and Brian Hill was fired again. Brian Hill (basketball)
Brian Alfred Hill (born September 19, 1947) is an American former professional basketball coach. Early life Born in East Orange, New Jersey, Hill graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange, New Jersey in 1965 and John F. Kennedy College in Nebraska in 1969 with a degree in physical education. Hill was a three-year starter on the Kennedy basketball team. Coaching career In 1970, Hill began his coaching career as head coach at Clifford Scott High School in his native East Orange, New Jersey. Hill then was an assistant coach at Montclair State University#Athletics, Montclair State College from 1972 to 1974. Hill then spent one season as an assistant coach at Lehigh Mountain Hawks men's basketball, Lehigh University and served as head coach for Lehigh from 1975 to 1983. JJ Redick
Jonathan Clay "JJ" Redick (born June 24, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player who is a podcaster and sports analyst for ESPN. He was selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA draft. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. In college, Redick was known for his excellent three-point and free-throw shooting. He set ACC records during his career for most points and most career ACC tournament points at the time. Redick is the all-time leading scorer for Duke. He also set several other Duke records, including most points in a single season. Morlon David Wiley (born September 24, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player and former assistant coach for the National Basketball Association's Orlando Magic. College career Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Wiley played college basketball at Long Beach State, where he was a four-year starter for the 49ers. In 1988, he was an all-Big West Conference pick, and his leadership led to the school's first NIT appearance. In his college career, he scored 30 points on six occasions, is third on the all-time list in assists with 425, second in steals with 187, and fourth in free throw percentage with .780. Mark Craig Bryant (born April 25, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns. As a player, he played collegiately at Seton Hall University from 1984 to 1988, and was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round (21st pick overall) of the 1988 NBA draft. Bryant played for 10 NBA teams during his career, averaging 5.4 ppg and appeared in the 1990 and 1992 NBA Finals as a member of the Blazers. Randy Ayers
Randall Duane Ayers (born April 16, 1956) is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach (through a coaching advisor position) for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. Ayers grew up in Springfield, Ohio and played college basketball at Miami University in Ohio. He has been a basketball coach since 1979.
