2006–07 EuroLeague Women
The EuroLeague Women is an international basketball club competition for elite clubs throughout Europe. The 2006–2007 season features 18 competing teams from 10 different countries. The draw for the groups was held on August 6, 2006, in Munich. The competition began on November 1, 2006. Note that the competition is operated by FIBA Europe — unlike the men's Euroleague, which is run by a body known as Euroleague Basketball (company). Pécs 2010 (Women's Basketball Team)
Pécs 2010 is a defunct women's professional Basketball team based in Pécs, Hungary. It used to play in the NB I/A, the top division championship in the country and in EuroLeague Women from its foundation until 2011. The club ceased to exist in the summer of 2012 due to financial reasons. However, two other clubs were founded in the city, that took over the players, coaches and managers of Pécs 2010. Tina Thompson
Tina Marie Thompson (born February 10, 1975) is an American former WNBA professional basketball player who served as the head coach of the Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team from 2018-2022. Thompson was inducted into both the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. The first college draft pick in WNBA history, Thompson was selected first by the Houston Comets. She helped lead the Comets to four consecutive WNBA Championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. She won two Olympic gold medals and made nine WNBA All-Star Game appearances. Until 2017 she was the WNBA's all-time leading scorer and, as of 2019, she ranks second in WNBA history. Vidnoye ( rus, Ви́дное, p=ˈvʲidnəɪ) is a city and the administrative center of Leninsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located south of Moscow city limits. Sopron Basket is a Hungarian women's basketball club from Sopron. Founded in 1921 as the women's section of Soproni VSE, it has played in the Hungarian National Championship since 1986. It plays its home games in the Aréna Sopron. Sopron won its first national championship in 1993, making its debut in the Euroleague the following season. Settled in the top positions, the team played in subsequent years the Ronchetti Cup, which it won in 1998 beating ASPTT Aix-en-Provence. As of 2011 Sopron remains the only Hungarian women's basketball team that has won an international competition since the fall of communism. BC Ekaterinburg (russian: БК «УГМК») is a Russian women's basketball team based in Yekaterinburg competing in the Russian Premier League, and until February 2022 in FIBA Europe's EuroLeague Women. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, in February 2022 EuroLeague Women suspended the club. Founded in 1938 as Zenit Sverdlovsk, the club had its name changed to Uralmash Sverdlovsk in 1960, like other teams from the city such as FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast. Four years later Uralmash reached the Soviet Top Division. In 1973 and 1974 it attained two 3rd spots, the club's best results in the Soviet era. Ros Casares Godella was a professional women's basketball team based in Godella, Spain. It played in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto between 1996 and 2012, when it resigned to play in EuroLeague and Spanish League. It continued playing in Primera División Femenina, third tier of Spanish women's basketball, until 2014 when the club was integrated in Valencia Basket as its women's section.
