2006–07 Ergotelis F.C. Season
The 2006–07 season was Ergotelis' 77th season in existence, first season in the Super League following the club's promotion as champions of last year's Beta Ethniki, and second season overall in the competition. Ergotelis also participated in the Greek Cup, entering the competition in the Fourth Round. The club managed to achieve its pre-season goal to stay clear of relegation, finishing 9th overall and thus secured its participation in next year's edition of the top football competition in Greece. Furthermore, Ergotelis advanced to the Greek Cup round of 16 (fifth round) for the second consecutive time before being eliminated by Greek giants PAOK. The Gymnastics Club «Ergotelis» Heraklion Crete ( el, Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος «O Εργοτέλης» Ηρακλείου Κρήτης, Γ.Σ. Εργοτέλης), commonly known simply as Ergotelis ( el, Εργοτέλης), is a Greek professional football club, department of the multi-sport club ''Gymnastics Club Ergotelis'', which is based in Heraklion, Crete. Altin Haxhi (born 17 June 1975) is an Albanian retired footballer who played as a defender. Lefteris Gialousis ( el, Λευτέρης Γιαλούσης; born 18 July 1985) is a Greek football defender who plays for Greek club Almyros Gazi in the Heraklion FCA A1 Championship, a regional league in the fifth tier of the Greek football league system. Professional career Gialousis began his career playing with local Heraklion side Irodotos, in the Gamma and Delta Ethniki. Xanthi ( el, Ξάνθη, ''Xánthi'', ) is a city in the region of Western Thrace, northeastern Greece. It is the capital of the Xanthi regional unit of the region of East Macedonia and Thrace. Panagiotis Kordonouris ( el, Παναγιώτης Κορδονούρης; born 8 November 1975) is a Greek former footballer. He spent the majority of his career in Crete, representing clubs at various competition levels spanning the Greek Superleague to Crete's amateur regional competitions. Playing career Born in Amaliada, Kordonouris began playing football with his local side Asteras Amaliada, before being spotted by Alpha Ethniki club Panachaiki in 1996. He played for Panachaiki for five seasons, between 1996 and 2001, registering over 150 appearances across all competitions. Grazer AK, founded 18 August 1902 as Grazer Athletiksport Klub (in Austria the abbreviation GAK is more common), is an Austrian sports club, from the city of Graz in the federal state of Styria (''Steiermark''). Mario Hieblinger (born 5 July 1977) is a retired Austrian football player who played as a centre-back, and current manager of Austrian side Union Bad Hall. Club career Born in Mistelbach, Lower Austria, Hieblinger began his football career at SV Stockerau. His first professional contract was signed with VfB Admira Wacker Mödling, from where he moved to SV Austria Salzburg.
