2006–07 Bonaire League Season
The 2006/07 season of the Bonearian football League started on October 27, 2006 and the final was played on August 3, 2007. The championship was played over 3 phases. First phase with all 7 teams, followed by a playoff with the top 4 teams and then a final with the 2 top teams. Matches started at the stadium of Kralendijk but, due to renovations of the pitch, were continued at Antonio Trenidat Stadium in Rincon. With home court advantage both teams of Rincon qualified for the final for the second time in history. Vespo defeated Real Rincon 1-0 to become champion only for the second time in their history. The season ended officially on September 14, 2007, with a Supercup (held for the first time) between the champions Vespo and the best placed team of the regular season Real Rincon. Divishon Honor – Bonaire or known as Kampionato (literally ''[the football] championship '') is the top association football league in Bonaire, a special municipality of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. The top two teams in this competition competed in the Netherlands Antilles Championship until the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010. SV Real Rincon is a football club from the town of Rincon in Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. The team has won the Bonaire League on 11 occasions, most recently in 2018–19, as well as twice finishing top of the unofficial transitional championships. Bonaire League Seasons
Bonaire (; , ; pap, Boneiru, , almost pronounced ) is a Dutch island in the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is the port of Kralendijk, on the west (leeward) coast of the island. Rilove Janga (born 27 August 1987) is a Bonaire professional football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. He has been the manager of the Bonaire national team since 2023. Ilfred “Tètè” Piar is an international footballer who currently plays for Real Rincon of the Bonaire League and the Bonaire national football team. Club career Piar currently plays for Real Rincon of the Bonaire League. For the 2014 season, he was the league's top goalscorer with 32 goals in 16 matches. In April 2018 Real Rincon became the first club from Bonaire to compete in CONCACAF international competition as they qualified for the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield.
