The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 ( ar, الرابطة الجزائرية المحترفة الأولى لكرة القدم); known as Championnat National de Première Division or Ligue 1 for short, and formerly known as the Championnat National 1, is the Algerian professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division of the Algerian football league system. Ligue 1 is one of two divisions making up the Ligue de Football Professionnel, the other being Ligue Professionnelle 2. The league is contested by 16 clubs, and it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Ligue 2. Sofiane Hanitser (born 20 November 1984) is an Algerian former football player. Club career During the 2009–10 Algerian Championnat National, Hanitser finished as the second top scorer of the league with 16 goals in 32 games, one goal less than MC Alger's Hadj Bouguèche. International career Hanitser was a member of the Algerian Under-23 National Team at the 2005 Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia. Club career On July 16, 2010, it was announced that Bouguèche signed a two-year contract with Emirati-side Emirates Club, joining the club on a free transfer. On August 20, 2010, Bougueche made his debut for the club starting in the 3–1 win over Al Wahda in the 2010 UAE Super Cup.
