Leonardo Bertagnolli
Leonardo Bertagnolli (born 8 January 1978 in Trento) is a retired Italian professional road bicycle racer, who rode as a professional between 2002 and 2012. He signed for , a new team in the 2009 season, though he rode for in the 2009 Giro d'Italia. It was unclear if Bertagnolli switched teams before 's mid-season collapse or after, and whether he continued with after the Giro or briefly returned to . Bertagnolli announced his retirement from the sport after competing in the Italian National Championships in June 2012. It later emerged that the Union Cycliste Internationale had launched disciplinary proceedings into Bertagnolli, in the light of an alleged anti-doping violation via his biological passport, and he was given a sanction of 2 years and ten months as well as disqualified from 1 January 2003 to 18 May 2011. Tour Du Haut Var
The Tour du Haut Var ( en, Tour of the Haut Var) is an early-season two-day road bicycle race in the Var department region in the south of France. Until 2008 it was run as a one-day race, part of the UCI Europe Tour. In 2009, the race transformed to a 2.1 event, raced over two days. Dutchman Joop Zoetemelk and France's Arthur Vichot hold the record with three wins. The Tour du Haut Var is one of several stage races held in the hilly Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in February, alongside the Étoile de Bessèges, La Méditerranéenne and the Tour La Provence. Draguignan (; oc, Draguinhan) is a commune in the Var department in the administrative region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (formerly Provence), southeastern France. Nick Nuyens
Nick Nuyens (born 5 May 1980) is a Belgian former professional road racing cyclist who last rode for in the UCI World Tour. His biggest wins included the semi-classics Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne, Omloop Het Volk, Paris–Brussels and the classic Tour of Flanders. He was a classics rider. His first wife was the Belgian multiple national champion, Evy Van Damme, with whom he had three children. In 2015 he married Lynn Peeters. He retired in 2015 after failing to secure a new contract. Career The year 2011 was a good one for him, since he took the victory on two classics in Flanders. Dmitry Fofonov ( kk, Дмитрий Фофонов; born 15 August 1976 in Almaty) is a former Kazakh professional road bicycle racer who was fired from UCI ProTeam Crédit Agricole for doping. Fofonov tested positive for heptaminol after the 18th stage of the 2008 Tour de France. Fofonov had completed the race in 19th place, and was fired by Crédit Agricole after the test. After his doping ban ended, Fofonov joined the team for the 2010 season. He retired after the 2012 season and became an assistant sporting director for Astana. Freddy Bichot
Freddy Bichot (born 9 September 1979 in Saint-Fort) is a French road racing cyclist who last rode for Véranda Rideau-Super U. After rising from relative obscurity, in 2002 he won the French Amateur National Championship, yet later tested positive for testosterone. He was suspended for a year, and within months of returning to the amateur ranks, was signed as a professional to Team Barloworld. Bichot participated in the 2004 Giro d'Italia, when he withdrew after stage 9. In 2005 he did the same, but withdrew after stage 13. That same year he won the first stage of the Étoile de Bessèges and also won the overall rankings of that race. He also took part in the 2006 Vuelta a España and the 2007 and 2008 Tour de France. Bram Tankink
Bram Tankink (born 3 December 1978) is a Dutch former professional road bicycle racer, who competed between 2000 and 2018 for the Löwik Meubelen–Tegeltoko, , and squads. Born in Haaksbergen, Tankink started his career as a mountain biker, but in 1999 he became a road rider. In 2000 he became Dutch champion of the espoirs which resulted in a professional contract for 2001 at . He stayed with this team for two years until he and a few others from this team went over to . Tankink usually acted as a helper in this team, hardly ever racing for his own success; but he was so much appreciated that the team allowed him to participate in the 2005 Tour de France which he finished in good form. After the Tour he played an important part in the victory of Filippo Pozzato at the 2005 HEW Cyclassics in Hamburg and during the 2005 Deutschland Tour he won the first stage from Attenburg to Plauen.
