2006 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season
The 2006 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season was the franchise's 31st season in the National Football League the 9th playing their home games at Raymond James Stadium, and the 5th under head coach Jon Gruden. The team failed to improve on their 11–5 record in 2005, tumbled to a 4–12 record and missed the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. Summary After winning their division in 2005, the Buccaneers suffered through an abysmal 2006 season. The season was plagued by injuries, with starters such as G Dan Buenning, WR Michael Clayton, RB Carnell Williams, DE Simeon Rice, CB Brian Kelly, and QB Chris Simms all being placed on injured reserve at some point in the season. The season also saw a lot of rookies starting for the Bucs, such as QB Bruce Gradkowski, T Jeremy Trueblood, and G Davin Joseph. Jeremy Trueblood
Jeremy Tyler Trueblood (born May 10, 1983) is a former American football offensive tackle of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Boston College and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Trueblood was also a member of the Washington Redskins and Atlanta Falcons. Early years Trueblood attended Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, where he was a classmate and teammate of fellow 2006 NFL draftee Mathias Kiwanuka. Kiwanuka was also his classmate and teammate at Boston College. At Cathedral, he received all-city and all-state awards in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Alan Zemaitis (born August 24, 1982) is a former professional American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 4th round (#122 overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. David Edward Moore (born November 11, 1969) is a retired American football player who over the span of his 15-year career (1992–2006) with the National Football League played for the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moore played as a tight end and fullback. His last official game was the Pro Bowl in 2007 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Moore didn't miss more than two games in any season for his entire Buccaneers career since first joining the team in 1993.
