2006 St. Louis Rams
The 2006 season was the St. Louis Rams' 69th in the National Football League and their 12th in St. Louis. The season began with the Rams trying to improve on their 6–10 record from 2005 under new head coach Scott Linehan. This was the Rams last non-losing season in St. Louis as the franchise would go on a ten-season losing record streak until 2017 in Los Angeles. Offseason Scott Linehan was named head coach of the St. Louis Rams on January 19, 2006. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. On January 24, Jim Haslett, the former head coach of the New Orleans Saints, signed a three-year deal to become the Rams new defensive coordinator. On March 17, 2006, the Rams signed former Miami Dolphins QB Gus Frerotte to a three-year deal. NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. The division was formed in 1967 as the National Football League Coastal Division, keeping with the theme of having all of the league's divisions starting with the letter "C." The division was so named because its teams were fairly close to the coasts of the United States, although they were on opposite coasts, making for long travel between division rivals. The NFL Coastal Division had four members: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Colts, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. Will Witherspoon
William Cordell Witherspoon (born August 19, 1980) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia. Professionally, he played for the St. Louis Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans. Early years Witherspoon's father served in the US Air Force, and so Witherspoon moved around as a child. However, his family never lived on the military bases, instead deciding to live in the community so the children could experience the culture. Stephen Davis (American Football)
Stephen Lamont Davis (born March 1, 1974) is a former American football running back who played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Early years A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Davis attended Spartanburg High School, where he excelled in football and track. The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tony Palmer (born February 23, 1983) is a former American football guard. The former University of Missouri guard who was selected by the St. Louis Rams. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers after being cut in the 2006 preseason by St. Louis. Palmer was released by the Packers in the 2008 offseason. Mark David Setterstrom (born March 3, 1984) is a former American football guard. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Minnesota. Marques Hagans
Marques Hagans (born December 29, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia. Hagans was also a member of the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins. He is currently the wide receivers coach at Penn State University. Victor Adeyanju (born February 11, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Indiana. He has also played for the Cincinnati Bengals. His younger brother James Adeyanju was a defensive end for the 2014 Wisconsin Badgers football team.
