2006 Norfolk Mayoral Election
The Norfolk mayoral election of 2006 took place on May 2, 2006. Voters elected the Mayor of Norfolk. This was the first popular election for mayor of Norfolk since 1916. It saw the reelection of incumbent mayor Paul D. Fraim. ''The Virginian-Pilot'' is the daily newspaper for Norfolk, Virginia. Commonly known as ''The Pilot'', it is Virginia's largest daily. It serves the five cities of South Hampton Roads as well as several smaller towns across southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina.
