The 2006 ''Billboard'' Latin Music Awards, produced and broadcast lived on Telemundo, were held on Thursday, April 27, 2006. The award show aired on Telemundo at 8pm EST. The awards show and after party were held at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. Billboard Latin Music Awards
The ''Billboard'' Latin Music Awards grew out of the ''Billboard'' Music Awards program from ''Billboard'' magazine, an industry publication charting the sales and radio airplay success of musical recordings. The ''Billboard'' awards are the Latin music industry’s longest running award. The award ceremonies are held during the same week as Latinfest+ (formerly known as the ''Billboard'' Latin Music Conference). The first award ceremony began in 1994. In addition to awards given on the basis of success on the Billboard charts, the ceremony includes the Spirit of Hope award for humanitarian achievements and the Lifetime Achievement award, as well as awards by the broadcasting partner. Musician Enrique Iglesias has won 47 awards, the colombian Shakira has won 42 awards, and is the most awarded female. William Omar Landrón Rivera (born February 10, 1978), better known by his stage name Don Omar, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor. On September 1, 2017, he announced that he would retire after a series of concerts at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico, scheduled to be held on December 15, 16 and 17. ''El Sexto Sentido'' ('The Sixth Sense') is the tenth studio album by Mexican singer Thalía. It was released on 19 July 2005 by EMI Latin. Its music spans several modern genres, such as Latin pop, dance-pop and R&B. The album, which also has a DVD version, reveals a lot about the personality and life of its performer. It brings more mature, demanding, rhythmic and catchy music. The most successful singles of the album were "Amar sin ser amada", " Un alma sentenciada" and " Seducción". Thalía collaborated again with the Colombian songwriter and producer Estéfano. ''El Sexto Sentido'' is an album sung in Spanish, except for three songs translated into English at the end of it. Reyli Reyli Barba (born April 12, 1972), most commonly known as Reyli, is a Mexican singer-songwriter. He is also a composer and has written songs for artists such as Alejandro Fernández and Beyoncé Knowles. Reyli is a former member of Elefante, a band which he led until 2003, when he set out to release his debut solo album.
