2006 F3000 International Masters Season
The 2006 F3000 International Masters season was the second International Formula Master series season. The season consisted of sixteen races at seven rounds, beginning on 1 April at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and finishing on 22 October at the Autódromo do Estoril. 11 teams and 30 drivers competed. In this one-make formula all drivers had to utilize Lola chassis and Zytek engines. International Formula Master
International Formula Master, also known as Formula Super 2000, was a European-based junior single seater formula. The series was conceived as a competitor for Formula Three and made its debut at Valencia in 2007. European television channel Eurosport were backing the series and the series regularly supported the World Touring Car Championship during its European races. The championship started in 2005 as the 3000 Pro Series, organised by Peroni Promotion and based in Italy; it used Lola B99/50 chassis alongside 2002 cars. MTC Organisation took over for 2006 and renamed it F3000 International Masters, running a support series to the WTCC. In 2007 this series changed regulations, with N.Technology now running technical operations for MTC Organisation, and it became the International Formula Master. Filip Salaquarda
Filip Salaquarda (born January 11, 1984 in Prague) is a professional racing driver from the Czech Republic. Career Early career After an early career in karting, Salaquarda began his racing career in 2000 in his native Czech Republic, competing in the Ford Puma Cup where he finished in third place. A year later he stepped up to the Škoda Octavia Cup, finishing the year 13th in the standings. In 2002, he made his single–seater debut in the Formula BMW ADAC series in Germany. In his first season in the category he was classified in 21st place. The following year he improved to 13th overall, taking a podium place in the final round at Hockenheim. Formula Three In 2004, Salaquarda graduated to Formula Three, racing in the German championship with the family ISR Racing team. Jean De Pourtales
Jean de Pourtales (born 19 August 1965) is a French racing driver from Neuilly-sur-Seine. Before his motorsport career, de Pourtales was a member of the British junior alpine ski team, and attended the junior world ski championships. However, an accident unfortunately cut short his skiing career. De Pourtales began his career in British Formula Vauxhall Junior in 1995 and moved to British Formula Renault in 1998 and finished 10th. He competed in Euro Formula 3000 part-time in 1999 and from 2001 to 2004 with his best season finish being 17th in 2003. Since then he has participated part-time in the Le Mans Series LMP2 class and the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Kruse Schiller Motorsport. Matteo Bobbi
Matteo Bobbi (born 2 July 1978 in Milan) is an Italian racing driver with experience in several motor sport categories, including three years as a Minardi test driver in Formula One. During a brief time with Formula One's Minardi as their test driver, he also began racing in sports cars, winning the 2003 FIA GT Championship with Thomas Biagi in a BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari, and finishing as runner-up in 2004. In 2006, he won the GT2 class with Jaime Melo. Bobbi began racing karts in 1995 and progressed to Formula Renault in 1998, where he finished on the podium several times. Kristian Ghedina
Kristian Ghedina (; born 20 November 1969) is an Italian alpine skiing coach and former competitive racer. His 13 victories are the second most by an Italian downhill specialist in World Cup history: the first is Dominik Paris with 21 victories. He is currently an auto racer. Biography Ghedina was born in Cortina d'Ampezzo in the province of Belluno, and his mother tongue is Ladin. He studied in Innsbruck and made his World Cup debut in 1989. The following year, after a series of initial podiums and a ruinous fall, he won the last two downhills of the season. He won the silver medal in the Combined race of the 1991 World Championships at Saalbach, Austria; however, the following year he suffered a serious car crash. Jan Charouz (born 17 July 1987) is a Czech motor racing driver. He won the 2009 Le Mans Series season and 2006 F3000 International Masters season, as well as taking fourth place in the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2010 he was the Renault Formula One team reserve driver and has also competed in the World Series by Renault Formula Renault 3.5 Championship and Auto GP.
