2005–2006 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Series
The 2005–2006 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup series was a series of stages where events in rhythmic gymnastics were contested. The series consisted of a two-year long competition, culminating at a final event — the 2006 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Final, World Cup Final in 2008. A number of qualifier stages were held. The top 3 gymnasts and groups in each apparatus at the qualifier events would receive medals and prize money. The organizing committees were free to host all-around competitions, but these events were not eligible for the assignment of World Cup points. Gymnasts and groups that finished in the top 8 also received points which were added up to a ranking that qualified for the biennial World Cup Final. Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition for rhythmic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships (including the Junior World Championships), the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics, and the rhythmic gymnastics events at the World Games. The World Cup series should not be confused with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix series, which is neither officially organized nor promoted by FIG. History In 1983, FIG decided to hold a World Cup event in rhythmic gymnastics. The event was staged as an alternative to the World Championships, a tournament held, at the time, every four years. Inna Zhukova (; : ''Inna Ivanovna Zhukova'', born on September 6, 1986, in Krasnodar, Soviet Union) is a Belarusian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympics individual all-around silver medalist and 2006 Grand Prix Final all-around bronze medalist. Competitive career Early Career Zhukova started rhythmic gymnastics in 1990 at age 4. She began gymnastics because her older sister was a gymnast and she became interested as well. Liubov Viktorovna Charkashyna (; , born December 23, 1987) is a retired Belarusian individual Rhythmic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnast. Silvia Miteva
Silvia Dimitrova Miteva (; born 24 June 1986 in Rousse) is a retired Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2013 Grand Prix Final all-around bronze medalist. Career Miteva was coached by her mother Silvia Divcheva-Miteva, who was a rhythmic gymnast for Bulgaria in the 1980s. She was a European and world champion. Miteva's father, Dimitar Mitev, is a Brevet judge and junior men's national coach in artistic gymnastics. Dinara Nailevna Gimatova (, ; born 18 November 1986 in Astrakhan, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is an Azerbaijani gymnast of Volga Tatar ethnicity. Simona Peycheva (, born 14 May 1985, in Sofia) is a rhythmic gymnast who represented Bulgaria at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. She is the 2001 World Championships all-around silver medalist and a World champion with hoop, ball and clubs as well as a Bulgarian national champion. She now works as a television host and a coach.
