Primera Divisió
The Primera Divisió (First Division) or Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of men's football in Andorra. The league was launched in 1995 sponsored by the local federation (Andorran Football Federation) which was created just one year before. Until then, clubs had played since 1970 in an amateur league without a structure or affiliation with any official institution. Since affiliation to UEFA and FIFA in 1996, Andorran clubs are able to compete in the UEFA competitions. Until 2015 the league was known as ''Lliga Grup Becier'' and during 2016 ''Lliga Grup Sant Eloi''. It was renamed in 2017 as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons. All the teams in the league play in the same stadiums owned by the federation. The same occurs in all other Andorran competitions, such as the Copa Constitució and Andorran Supercup, Supercopa. FC Lusitanos
FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. The club's final season was the 2019-2020 season in the Segona Divisió. History Futbol Club Lusitanos (''Futbol Club Lusitans'', Portuguese: Futebol Club Lusitanos) was founded in 1999. The club played for the first time in the Campionat de Lliga in 2000–01, after winning the Second Division championship. 2006–07 Segona Divisió
The 2006-07 Segona Divisió was the eighth season of the Segona Divisió, the second tier of football in Andorra. The season began on 23 September 2006 and finished on 20 May 2007. Casa Estrella Del Benfica won the division and were promoted to the 2007–08 Primera Divisió. UE Engordany won a promotion/relegation playoff against FC Encamp and were also promoted to the 2007–08 Primera Divisió. League format The league consisted of eight teams playing each other twice. After fourteen games the top four clubs retained their record and entered a play off. The play off consisted on each side playing each other twice. The top team became champions and won promotion to the 2007–08 Primera Divisió. The next highest placed team entered a playoff against the seventh placed team in the 2006–07 Primera Divisió. Club Esportiu Principat was an Andorran football club created in 1989, based in the city of Andorra la Vella. Was one of the most successful football clubs in Andorra along with FC Santa Coloma and UE Sant Julià, having won three times the Andorran Premier League and five times the Andorran Cup. The club was dissolved in 2015. History The club was founded in 1989 by ''Penya Madridista Restaurant Charlie's'' ( Real Madrid Supporters' Club of Charlie's Restaurant) as Club Esportiu Principat. CE Principat was the main club in Andorra la Vella having achieved the record of three consecutives league victories between 1997 and 1999 and five consecutives cup trophies between 1995 and 1999. Atlètic Club d'Escaldes, also commonly known as Atlètic d'Escaldes, is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany, currently playing in Primera Divisió. History Atlètic Club d'Escaldes was founded on 20 May 2002 in Escaldes-Engordany joining Segona Divisió the same year. At the end of 2003–04 season the club was promoted to Primera Divisió. During three seasons the club was playing in the top flight until 2006–07 season when it was relegated to Segona Divisió. The club came back in the top flight in 2019 after winning the 2018–19 Segona Divisió. L'Atlètic reached the 2021 Copa Constitució final but lost against UE Sant Julià 2-1. FC Santa Coloma is an Andorran football team based in the village of Santa Coloma, in the parish of Andorra la Vella. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió, and is its current champion and most successful team with thirteen titles. It is also the most successful team in the Copa Constitució, winning it ten times. FC Rànger's is an Andorran football club based in Andorra la Vella. The team currently plays in Segona Divisió. History The club was founded in 1981, but they only started playing in Andorran leagues in 1999. FC Rànger's aren't associated with Glasgow Rangers. After two years in the Andorran Second Division, they played for the first time in the Campionat de Lliga in the 2001–02 season. After the promotion, FC Rànger's started a growing career, and after finishing second in 2005, they won the league title the two subsequent years, 2006 and 2007. FC Rànger's made their first time appearance in European competitions, playing the UEFA Intertoto Cup in the summer of 2005, being eliminated by Sturm Graz by 6–1 in aggregate.
