Hrvatski nogometni klub Rijeka ( en, Croatian Football Club Rijeka), commonly referred to as NK Rijeka or simply Rijeka, is a Croatian professional association football, football club from the city of Rijeka. HNK Rijeka compete in Croatia's top division, Croatian First Football League, HT Prva liga, of which they have been members since its foundation in 1992. During the reconstruction of Stadion Kantrida, their traditional home ground has been Stadion Rujevica. Rijeka's traditional home colours are all white. NK Istra 1961
Nogometni klub Istra 1961 ( en, Istra 1961 Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Istra 1961, or simply Istra 1961 or Istra, is a Croatian professional football club from Pula, currently playing in the Croatian First League. It is a common opinion amongst many people that ''Istra 1961'' was founded in 1961 by merging two clubs from Pula, NK Uljanik and NK Pula, forming NK Istra. However, NK Istra is not the same club as NK Istra 1961. NK Istra 1961, then named NK Uljanik, was founded in 1964. NK Istra were competing in Prva HNL since the first season, but were relegated in the 1996–97 season to Druga HNL. They were promoted back to Prva HNL in the 1998–99 season, but they were relegated again in the next season, never coming back to Prva HNL. Ahmad Sharbini
Ahmad Sharbini ( ar, أحمد الشربيني; born 21 February 1984) is a Croatian football executive and director of NK Rječina and former professional player who played as a striker. Club career Ahmad Sharbini began his professional career with HNK Rijeka in the Croatian Prva HNL in January 2003, when he signed his first professional contract. In the first four seasons with the club, he scored 39 league goals and 9 cup goals. With 21 goals to his account, he was the club's leading goalscorer in the 2006–07 season. He was also the league's second top goalscorer behind Eduardo da Silva. In late 2007 and early 2008, he had stints with Al-Wahda FC (Abu Dhabi) and FC Luzern. Stadion Varteks
Stadion Varteks is a football stadium in Varaždin, Croatia. It is the home ground of the Croatian Football League club NK Varaždin and the lower division club NK Varteks. The stadium was built in 1931 as the home ground for a different NK Varaždin team, which overlapped with the current tenant with a similar name until its disbandment in 2015. Stadion Varteks has undergone several renovations since 1931, and currently has an all-seating capacity of 8,818. It consists of three stands, with the main stand being the only one with a roof. Since 1993, the Croatia national football team and the Croatia national under-21 football team have occasionally played their home games at the venue. For some of these games, and for some club-level UEFA competitions, rules against advertising of stadium sponsors has seen the generic name Gradski Stadion ("City Stadium") used. Gradski vrt Stadium ( hr, Stadion Gradski vrt, lit=City Garden Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Osijek, Croatia. It is located in the Gradski vrt neighbourhood in Novi grad city district. With a capacity of 17,061, it has been the home ground of two Croatian football clubs, NK Osijek and Fortuna VNO Osijek. History Construction started in 1949, but works were stopped several times. The first match played on the ground of Gradski Vrt was played between NK Osijek and FK Sloboda Tuzla on 7 September 1958. In 1980, the stadium was officially opened. Maksimir Stadium ( hr, Stadion Maksimir, ) is a multi-use stadium in Zagreb, Croatia. It takes its name from the surrounding neighbourhood of Maksimir. The venue is primarily the home of Dinamo Zagreb, the top club of the country with 23 league titles, but it is also the home venue of the Croatia national football team. Marin Prpić (born 8 December 1976 in Rijeka) is a retired Croatian football player who played for Orijent, Zadar, Pomorac and Rijeka in the Croatian First Football League.
