2005–06 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship
The 2005–06 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 36th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament. The championship began on 30 October 2005 and ended on 17 March 2006. James Stephens were the defending champions but were defeated by Portumna in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 17 March 2006 Portumna won the championship following a 2-8 to 1-6 defeat of Newtownshandrum in the All-Ireland final. This was their first All-Ireland title. James Stephens's Eoin Larkin was the championship's top scorer with 2-27. Eugene McEntee (born 1978 in Portumna, County Galway, Ireland) is an Irish former sportsperson. Celbridge GAA
Celbridge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. They were awarded Kildare GAA club of the year in 2008, winners of the Kildare senior football championship of 2008, finalists in the senior football league of 1923, 1988 and 2008 and won the Kildare senior hurling and camogie championships in 2005. Clonguish GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club in Newtownforbes, County Longford, Ireland. The club was formed on 20 October 1889 and was originally called Clonguish Gallowglasses. Situated in the west of Co. Longford, it is bordered by four parishes in Co. Longford, Drumlish, Killoe, Killashee and Templemichael (Longford) – the parish also shares a common boundary with the Province of Connacht in that it adjoins the parishes of Bornacoola and Gortletteragh in Co. Knockbridge GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Knockbridge, County Louth, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Founded in 1999, the club is solely concerned with the game of hurling. The club has won 12 Louth Senior Hurling Championship titles. History After hurling was first introduced to the Knockbridge area in 1984, Knockbridge Juvenile Hurling Club was established the following year. A number of under-12 and under-14 titles were secured over the next few years. An adult section of the juvenile club was founded on 12 November 1998. Knockbridge Hurling Club was eventually affiliated at the first County Committee meeting on 4 January 1999. Castletown Geoghegan is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Castletown Geoghegan, County Westmeath, Ireland. The club first fielded a championship team in 1920 and is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. In senior hurling Castletown Geoghegan compete annually in the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship, which they have won fourteen times as of 2022. Glenealy GAA
Glenealy Hurling Club () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the parish of Glenealy and Ashford in County Wicklow, Ireland. The club was founded in 1885 as a football club but switched codes to the game of hurling in the early 1920s. In senior hurling, Glenealy compete annually in the Wicklow Senior Club Hurling Championship, which they have won sixteen times as of 2018. Parnell Park
Parnell Park is a GAA stadium in Donnycarney, Dublin, Ireland with a capacity of 8,500. It is the home of the Dublin GAA hurling, football, camogie and ladies' football teams at all levels of competition. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne".
