2005 World Rowing Championships
The 2005 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 29 August to 4 September 2005 at the Nagaragawa International Regatta Course in Kaizu, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The international rowing season usually ends with the World Championship regatta. Apart from the Olympic Games, this is the most prestigious international rowing event attracting over 1,000 rowers. The 2005 championships were the first championships to be held in Asia. Ramon Di Clemente
Ramon di Clemente (born 2 May 1975) is a South African rower and Olympic medalist. He competes in the coxless pair event with his boat partner of the past few years, Donovan Cech. They won the bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. In 2008, Donovan Cech was replaced by Shaun Keeling due to a persistent lower-back injury. After only a few months rowing together Ramon di Clementi and Shaun Keeling went on to make the A final at the Olympics. George Bridgewater
George Spencer Bridgewater (born 18 January 1983) is a former New Zealand rower who competed in the pair at international level with Nathan Twaddle. The pair began representing New Zealand together in 2004 and won bronze medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Bridgewater went to his third Summer Olympics in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. Rowing career Bridgewater was born in 1983 in Wellington, New Zealand. He rowed for the Avon club based in Christchurch, and won several titles at New Zealand Rowing Championships, beginning in 2002. Bridgewater and Twaddle finished fourth in the pairs final at the Athens Olympics. Nathan Twaddle
Robert Nathan Twaddle (born 21 August 1976) is a former New Zealand rower and Olympic medallist. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, in the coxless pair rowing with his partner George Bridgewater and won a bronze medal. The pair began representing New Zealand together in 2004 and won bronze medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Twaddle was born in Whakatane, New Zealand.  He crewed for the Otago University and Auckland Rowing Clubs, and won several titles at New Zealand Rowing Championships, including the single sculls championships. Twaddle crewed firstly for New Zealand at the World Championships in Milan Italy in 2003, qualifying for the Athens Olympics with pairs partner Robert Hellstrom. Andrei Jämsä
Andrei Jämsä (born 14 February 1982) is an Estonian rower. Due to a back injury he could not compete in 2007. He is a member of rowing club "Pärnu Sõudeklubi" (Pärnu Rowing Club) located in Pärnu. Junior years Jämsä was born in Pärnu. He competed in the U-23 world Regatta in the double sculls event in 2002 with Igor Kuzmin, earning 7th position and in 2003 with Oleg Vinogradov earning 4th position. Tõnu Endrekson
Tõnu Endrekson (born 11 June 1979) is an Estonian rower. He is a five time Olympic finalist and dual Olympic medal winner. He was fourth in the double sculls event with Leonid Gulov at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and won a silver medal in 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the double sculls event with Jüri Jaanson. Leonid Gulov (born September 29, 1981, in Narva, Estonia) is a retired Estonian rower. He was fourth in the double sculls event with Tõnu Endrekson at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is a member of rowing club "SK Narva Energia" located in Narva. Junior years Gulov's first appearance in the World Rowing Junior Championships was in 1997 in the quadruple sculls event (23rd).
