2005 Trophée Éric Bompard
The 2005 Trophée Éric Bompard was the fourth event of six in the 2005–06 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy in Paris on November 17–20. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2005–06 Grand Prix Final. The compulsory dance was the Ravensburger Waltz. The competition was named after the Éric Bompard company, which became its chief sponsor in 2004. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. 2005–06 Grand Prix Of Figure Skating Final
The 2005–06 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final was an elite figure skating competition held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan from December 16 to 18, 2005. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The Grand Prix Final was the culminating event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series, which consisted of Skate America, Skate Canada International, Cup of China, Trophée Éric Bompard, Cup of Russia, and NHK Trophy competitions. Andrei Lezin
Andrei Vladimirovich Lezin (russian: Андрей Владимирович Лезин, born 28 July 1981) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2004 Karl Schäfer Memorial champion, 1999 ISU Junior Grand Prix in Norway bronze medalist, and 2005 Russian national bronze medalist. Lezin finished 20th at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Oberstdorf and 14th at the 2005 European Championships in Turin. After the death of his coach, Igor Rusakov, he joined Elena Tchaikovskaia and Vladimir Kotin. Lezin's wife, Natalia, is a former skater who became a national-level judge. Frédéric Dambier
Frédéric Dambier (born 26 December 1977) is a French figure skater. He is a four-time French national silver medalist and competed at two Olympic Games. He twice placed fourth at the European Figure Skating Championships. He is the first French skater to land a quadruple salchow in competition. Career Dambier started skating when he was about six or seven years old when a neighbor took him to the small ice rink of Joué les Tours. In practice, he landed his first triple jump, the salchow, at 14, and his first quad salchow when he was 19. He became the first French skater to perform the quad salchow in competition when he landed it at the 1999 Ondrej Nepela Memorial. Samuel Contesti (born 4 March 1983) is a French-Italian former competitive figure skater. He originally competed for France, then switched to Italy after the 2006–07 season. He is the 2009 European silver medalist and a five-time Italian national champion (2008–12). Personal life Samuel Contesti's father, Yves, was a professional football player in Ligue 1. Timothy Richard Goebel (born September 10, 1980) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, 2002 Olympic bronze medalist. He was the first person to land a Quadruple jump, quadruple salchow jump in competition and the first person to land three quadruple jumps in one program.
