Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. The series is composed by 12 rounds, with the most important race, the Corrida do Milhão (English: ''The'' ''Million Race'') being worth double points and has a prize pool of R$1 million. The competition has seen many internationally famous drivers on its ranks, such as Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa, Jacques Villeneuve, Lucas di Grassi, Nelson Piquet Jr., Ricardo Zonta, Tony Kanaan and António Félix da Costa. Nonô Figueiredo
Flávio Pagano "Nonô" Figueiredo (born May 13, 1971, in São Paulo) is a Brazilian auto racing driver. He is better known as "Nonô"" Figueiredo and drives in the Brazilian V8 Stock Car Series. He started racing in Karting in 1984, winning several championship titles. In 1989 and 1990 he raced in some North American Formula Ford races. In 1993 he drove in the Italian formula 3 Championship, followed by Formula Fiat drives back in Brazil in 1995 and 1996, with six race wins in two years. He raced in Great Britain in 1997, driving for TJ Motorsport in the Vauxhall Vectra Challenge with four race wins. In 1998 he achieved more success, with another four wins that year. This earned him a drive for two races in the British Touring Car Championship for the works Vauxhall team, replacing the injured John Cleland for the rounds at Thruxton. Ingo Hoffmann
Ingo Hoffmann (born February 28, 1953) is a Brazilian retired racing driver from São Paulo. He is most well known for winning the Brazilian Stock Car Championship 12 times (1980, 1985, 1989-1994, 1996-1998 and 2002). He also participated in six Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on January 25, 1976. He scored no championship points. History Early career Hoffman began his career in Brazil competing in Formula Vee and saloon cars. He came to England in 1975 and competed in Formula Three in a March, before moving into Formula One in 1976. Formula One years Hoffmann's Formula One career was hindered by the financial problems of the Fittipaldi team, and he drove the team's second car when realistically the team could only afford to run one. TMG Racing, previously called AMG Motorsport and currently competing as Lubrax , Podium Stock Car Team due to sponsorship reasons, is a Brazilian auto racing team based in Americana, São Paulo that currently competes in Stock Car Brasil and the F4 Brazilian Championship (as TMG Racing). Created in the 2003 final, AMG Motorsport originated from the G5 Racing team, directed by Mr. Affonso Giaffone and with the participation of partners Maurício Matos, Edvaldo Zaghetti and Alex Gesell.
