The 2005 Portuguese motorcycle Grand Prix was the second round of the 2005 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 15–17 April 2005 at the Autódromo do Estoril. Alex Barros won the MotoGP race, his last career victory, as well the last victory for a Brazilian rider until then. Shane Byrne (born 10 December 1976), often known as Shakey, is a British professional motorcycle road racer. Antonio "Toni" Elías Justícia (born 26 March 1983) is a Spanish professional motorcycle racer and inaugural champion of the Moto2 World Championship. He is the third member of the Elías family to compete in motorcycle racing. Troy Bayliss (born 30 March 1969 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian motorcycle racer.
