2005 Minnesota Twins Season
The 2005 Minnesota Twins Season was the franchise's 45th season playing in the Twin Cities and the 105th season in its history. The team was managed by Ron Gardenhire in his fourth year as the Twins' manager. They played their home games in the Metrodome. The Twins' final record was 83-79. They finished third in the American League Central division, behind the Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Indians, and they missed the playoffs. Regular season The Twins got off to an average start. However, the Chicago White Sox had a fantastic start to the season. The Twins tried to stay close in the standings, but their offense was insufficient. This division was formed in the realignment of 1994 by moving three teams from the American League West and two teams from the American League East. Juan Rincón
Juan Manuel Rincón (born January 23, 1979) is a Venezuelan professional baseball coach and former relief pitcher. Rincón bats and throws right-handed. He throws a low 90s fastball and a mid to low 80s slider. In his career, Rincón posted a .208 BAA against left-handed hitters and a .248 BAA against right-handed hitters. Brad Radke
Brad William Radke (born October 27, 1972) is an American former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who played his entire 12 season career with the Minnesota Twins. Radke won 148 career games and was one of the most consistent pitchers in the Twins organization during the late 1990s. Biography Radke was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and graduated from Jesuit High School of Tampa where he set a single-season school record with a 0.31 earned run average. He also played for the school's basketball team. He accepted a scholarship to play college baseball at South Florida. Joseph Michael Nathan (born November 22, 1974) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, and Chicago Cubs. Nathan started out his baseball career as a shortstop in high school and in college for Stony Brook, but converted to a pitcher after being drafted by the Giants. Joseph Emerson Mays (born December 10, 1975) is a former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher. Mays is a 1994 graduate of Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida. He also attended Manatee Community College in Bradenton. He and his wife, Melinda (née Rogers), have two children. Minnesota Twins Mays began his major league career with the Twins on April 7, 1999. Kyle Matthew Lohse (; born October 4, 1978) is an American former professional baseball pitcher.
