Mark Snyder (born December 30, 1964) is an American football coach and former safety who is the linebackers coach for the Orlando Guardians of the XFL and previously the linebackers coach for the Houston Gamblers of the United States Football League (USFL). He previously served as the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator for the Michigan State Spartans. He is the former head coach of the Marshall University Thundering Herd football team. Snyder was the 28th head coach for the football squad after a four-year tenure as a defensive coordinator with Ohio State University. Playing career The South Point, Ohio, native is a 1988 graduate of Marshall.
