2005 MLS Supplemental Draft
Following the signature of the first MLS players' union contract, the MLS Superdraft was limited to four rounds. As a result, the Supplemental Draft was re-incarnated to hold the additional rounds. The 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft, held on February 4, 2005, was the first re-incarnation of the MLS Supplemental Draft. The four-round event followed January's 2005 MLS SuperDraft, as teams filled out their developmental rosters. Expansion clubs Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA received the first picks in each round. The most notable draft picks include fourth round draft picks Chris Wondolowski, who is one of the top career goalscorers in Major League Soccer with over 140 career MLS goals, and Jeff Larentowicz Jeffrey Adam Larentowicz ( ; born August 5, 1983) is an American former soccer player. MLS Supplemental Draft
The MLS Supplemental Draft had a number of incarnations in US soccer: From 1996 to 1999, all players playing in the United States playing professionally in the United Soccer Leagues were eligible for the MLS Supplemental Draft, where they could be selected by all Major League Soccer teams. Players graduating college were entered into a separate MLS College Draft. Milton Alexánder Reyes Galeas (born 2 May 1974 in Arenal, Yoro, Honduras) is a retired Honduran football player, who played for primarily F.C. Motagua. Club career Nicknamed ''Jocón'', Reyes began playing professional football as a central defender with Yoro FC of the Honduran second division in 1993. The Columbus Crew, formerly known as Columbus Crew SC, is an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. Sasha Gotsmanov (born September 19, 1982 in Minsk, Belarus) is an American-Belarusian soccer player, who spent one season in the MLS and two in the USL First Division. Sasha was born into a soccer family. His father, Sergey Gotsmanov was a member of the Soviet Union national team that were runners-up for the 1988 European Football Championship. His mother, Olga, was the Belarusian national gymnastics coach. When Sasha was 15 his family moved from Belarus to Minnesota, so that Sergei could play for the Minnesota Thunder. Meanwhile, Sasha became a star player at the high school level. In 2001, he enrolled under scholarship at the University of Rhode Island where he would play soccer for the next four years. Jason Hernandez (born August 26, 1983) is the Manager for Player Engagement with Toronto FC. He has played for the Puerto Rico national team playing as a defender.
