2005 J.League Cup
The 2005 J.League Cup, officially the 2005 J.League Yamazaki Baking, Yamazaki Nabisco Cup, was the 3rd edition of Japan association football league cup tournament and the 13th edition under the current J.League Cup format. The championship started on March 19, and finished on November 5, 2005. Teams from the J.League 2005#J.League Division 1 (J1), J1 took part in the tournament. Yokohama F. Marinos and Júbilo Iwata were given a bye to the quarter-final due to their qualification for the 2005 AFC Champions League, AFC Champions League. The rest of 16 teams started from the group stage, where they're divided into four groups. The group winners of each group qualifies for the quarter-final along with the 2 best runners-up, and the two teams which qualified for the AFC Champions League. JEF United Chiba
, full name and also known as , is a Japanese professional football club that plays in the J2 League. On 1 February 2005, the club changed its name from ''JEF United Ichihara'' to the current name after Chiba city had joined Ichihara, Chiba as its hometown in 2003. Of its club name, ''JEF'' is taken from the JR East and Furukawa Electric companies and ''United'' is meant to represent the unity of the club and its home city. Akihiro Ienaga
is a Japanese football player who plays for Kawasaki Frontale. He played for Japan national team. Club career Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Ienaga began his career as a trainee with Gamba Osaka, one of the leading clubs in Japan's J1 League. He broke into the senior squad in 2004 and helped the club to their first J1 League title the following year. Ienaga joined J1 League rivals Oita Trinita on a season-long loan in 2007. In December 2008, Ienaga joined English club, Plymouth Argyle, on trial. Hideo Hashimoto
is a Japanese football player. He plays for FC Imabari. Club career Hashimoto was born in Osaka on 21 May 1979. He joined J1 League club Gamba Osaka from youth team in 1998. He played many matches as right-side midfielder and defensive midfielder from 2001. He became a regular player as defensive midfielder from 2003 and one of the central player under manager Akira Nishino. In 2005, Gamba won the champions in J1 League first time in the club history. Naoya Kikuchi
is a Japanese former professional footballer he is the current assistant manager of Sagan Tosu. Though naturally a central midfielder, Kikuchi also operated as a central defender and a left-back. is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is the currently assistant coach of Japan national team. is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Nakajima was born in Sakai on August 20, 1977. After graduating from high school, he joined Japan Football League club Brummel Sendai (later ''Vegalta Sendai'') in 1996.
