Holland Series
The Holland Series has been the annual championship series of the highest level of professional baseball in the Netherlands since 1987, concluding the postseason of Honkbal Hoofdklasse. It is played between the two winners of the playoffs. The Holland Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff. Neptunus, Neptunus Rotterdam have played in 22 of the 28 Holland Series and have won 18 Holland Series championships, more than any other Hoofdklasse franchise. Neptunus
Neptunus is a baseball and softball club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Following its 2014 championship season, the club signed a sponsorship contract for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons with Curaçao and competes under the name Curaçao Neptunus. Baseball club Neptunus has a revenue of 1 million euros. Neptunus plays in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse, the top level of professional baseball in the Netherlands, where it is its most successful team. It won the Holland Series seven consecutive times from 1999 to 2005 and won the European Cup five consecutive times from 2000 to 2004. In 2010 they set a league record by winning 39 games in a single season. The club evolved out of the multi-sports club SC Neptunus which was founded on 1 June 1900, while the baseball department was founded on 3 May 1943 and the softball department on 17 June 1973. HCAW
HCAW (formerly known as Mr. Cocker HCAW ( sponsored name)), in full ''Honkbalclub Allen Weerbaar'', is a Dutch baseball and softball club from Bussum. As of 2021 the club numbers about 400 members, including 270 players, making it one of the largest baseball and softball clubs in the Netherlands. The club's top teams all play in their equivalent Dutch major league. History HCAW was established in 1957 as an independent baseball and softball club. Between 1949 and 1957 it operated as the baseball division of the Bussum sporting club Allen Weerbaar. The team played on a football field until 1958 when the city of Bussum agreed to build a baseball field for the club in Bussum Zuid. HCAW added a softball division in 1966. 2006 Holland Series
The 2006 Holland Series were held from 21 September to 1 October 2006 between the two Dutch play-off winners Corendon Kinheim and Konica Minolta Pioniers. The first team to win 3 games in the best-of-five-games series would become Dutch champions.
