The following are the national records in athletics in Croatia maintained by the national athletics federation of Croatia, Croatian Athletics Federation (HAS). Some of the Croatian records in athletics predate Croatia's declaration of independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, and the formation of the Croatian Athletics Federation in 1992. These records, set by Croatian athletes competing for Yugoslavia, were retroactively ratified as Croatian records. Marietta is a city in and the county seat of Cobb County, Georgia, United States. At the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the city had a population of 60,972. The 2019 estimate was 60,867, making it one of Atlanta's largest suburbs. Marietta is the fourth largest of the principal cities by population of the Atlanta metropolitan area. History Etymology The origin of the name is uncertain. It is believed that the city was named for Mary Cobb, the wife of the U.S. Senator and Georgia Superior Courts, Superior Court judge Thomas Willis Cobb. The county is named for Cobb. András Haklits
András Haklits (born 23 September 1977) is a Croatian hammer thrower and bobsledder. He represented Hungary until July 1998. He finished tenth at the 2006 European Athletics Championships and eighth at the 2008 Olympic Games. In addition he competed at the World Championships in 1999, 2005 and 2007 and the Olympic Games in 2000 and 2004 without reaching the final. His personal best is 80.41 metres, achieved in May 2005 in Marietta. He worked for Doyle Sports Management whilst living in Athens, Georgia, where he graduated in economics from the University of Georgia, and he now works for Babinyecz Management in Budapest. Since 2009, Haklits has competed as a bobsledder. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished 20th in the four-man event. Christiaan Harmse (born 31 May 1973) is a South African hammer thrower. He has broken the African record seven times, and holds the championship record for both the African Championships and All-Africa Games. He has been a dominant presence in African hammer throwing since his first African Championships in Athletics in 1998 where he took gold with a championship record throw. He then went on to claim four consecutive African titles between 2002 and 2008, improving his own record along the way. His performances at the All-Africa Games have been equally dominant – he won his first title at the 1999 Games with a Games record and won twice more consecutively in 2003 and 2007, improving his record both times. Adler (russian: А́длер) is a resort on the Black Sea coast located in the mouth of the Mzymta River. It used to be a town but is now a microdistrict within Adlersky City District of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Libor Charfreitag (born 11 September 1977 in Trnava) is a former hammer thrower from Slovakia. His personal best throw is 81.81 metres, achieved in June 2003 in Prague. Career He was chosen Slovak athlete of the year in 2003. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
