Romain Barras
Romain Barras (born 1 August 1980 in Calais, Pas-de-Calais) is a French decathlete. At the Universiade he finished fifth in 2001 and first in 2003, the latter in a personal-best score of 8,196 points. He represented France at the 2004 Summer Olympics and came in thirteenth place overall in the decathlon. He became the regional champion at the 2005 Mediterranean Games. He improved his personal best to 8,298 points for third place at the 2007 TNT - Fortuna Meeting. He finished fifth in the decathlon at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was twelfth at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. Barras set a personal best of 8,313 points to win at the 2010 European Cup Combined Events in Tallinn, Estonia. On 29 July 2010, Barras won the decathlon gold medal at the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona with a score of 8,453. Roland Schwarzl
Roland Schwartzl (born 10 December 1980 in Lienz) is a decathlon, decathlete from Austria. He has won 5 pole vault and 3 heptathlon tiles since 1999 in the Austrian Indoor Championships. He also won both the decathlon and long jump in the Austrian Championships in 2003. His greatest achievement as a junior came in the 1999 European Athletics Junior Championships, 1999 European Junior Championships where he won the decathlon. He is currently married to his long time girlfriend, Rameera Jaj. He is currently working in UCSI international school Subang as a physical Education teacher. Paul Terek
Paul Anthony Terek (born October 20, 1979 in Dearborn, Michigan) is an American Olympic decathlete. He graduated from Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan. His personal best in decathlon is 8312 points, achieved in July 2004 in Sacramento at the United States Olympic Trials. Terek won the bronze medal and was placed on the United States Olympic Team. Out of the ten decathlon events, Terek is strongest in the pole vault, and he is comparatively weak in the 100 m and 400 m sprints. Terek is also a two-time USA champion in the indoor heptathlon, 2003-4. In September 2010, Terek became the co-host of Living the Run, a health and fitness radio that airs on ESPN 1280 on the Central Coast of California. Terek and his co-host, Ryan Foran, are health and fitness advocates who are entertaining their fans while interviewing guests and sharing health and fitness tips and news on the weekly radio show. Tomáš Dvořák
Tomáš Dvořák (), born 11 May 1972 in Gottwaldov (now Zlín), Czechoslovakia, is an athlete from the Czech Republic. He competed in the decathlon and heptathlon for the team ''Dukla Prague''. He is a three-time decathlon world champion (1997, 1999, 2001) and a former world record holder (8,994 points scored in Prague, 1999), which is still the fifth best performance of all-time. This record was broken by Dvořák's compatriot Roman Šebrle in 2001. Dvořák is the only athlete to score over 8,900 points three times. Dvořák announced his retirement in July 2008, after he failed to qualify for the Beijing Olympics. He now works as an athletic coach.
