2004–05 Welsh League Cup
The 2004–05 Welsh League Cup season was won by Carmarthen Town, beating Rhyl FC in the final. It was the first victory for Carmarthen Town in the competition, and the third appearance by Rhyl FC in the final. The final took place at Latham Park, in Newtown, Wales. The match was refereed by N L Morgan. Rhyl (; , ) is a seaside town and community (Wales), community in Denbighshire in Wales. The town lies on the coast of North Wales, at the mouth of the River Clwyd. Haverfordwest ( , ; ) is the county town of Pembrokeshire, Wales, and the most populous urban area in Pembrokeshire with a population of 14,596 in 2011. Richard Kennedy (footballer)
Richard Joseph Kennedy (born 28 August 1978) is an Irish retired semi-professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace and made his Football League debut in 1999 while at Brentford. Kennedy won three League of Wales and Welsh Cup doubles with Barry Town between 2001 and 2003 and played in the Champions League with the club. He retired in 2006 and is now a personal trainer and a fitness coach at Clonmel Town. Club career Crystal Palace Kennedy began his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace. Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. Carmarthen Town Association Football Club () is a Welsh semi-professional football club based in Carmarthen.The team play their home games at Richmond Park. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are gold and black. Formed in 1950, Carmarthen Town was elected into the Welsh Football League in 1953. Their first league honour came in 1959–60, with promotion from Division 2 West to the First Division of the Welsh League. Porthmadog (), originally Portmadoc until 1972 and known locally as "Port", is a coastal town and community (Wales), community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd, Wales, and the historic counties of Wales, historic county of Caernarfonshire. The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals " away from home" wins the tiebreaker.
