The 2004-05 Top 16 season was the top level of French club rugby in 2004-05. It was the final season under the 16 club format, as the competition became the Top 14 for the 2005-06 season. Biarritz Olympique won the championship, defeating Stade Français Paris in the final at Stade de France. FC Grenoble, Béziers and Auch were relegated to Rugby Pro D2 after the 2004-05 season. Association Sportive Montferrandaise Clermont Auvergne () is a French rugby union club from Clermont-Ferrand in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes that currently competes in Top 14, the top level of the French league system. David Skrela
David Skrela (born 2 March 1979) is a former French rugby union footballer. He most notably played for Stade Français and Toulouse in the Top 14 as well as the French national side as a fly-half or centre. He was renowned for his tackles and his kicking skills. Club career In three years at Toulouse he won the Heineken Cup and the Top 14. In the 2010 Heineken Cup Final he scored three penalties and two drop goals as Toulouse defeated Biarritz. Christophe Dominici
Christophe Dominici (20 May 1972 – 24 November 2020) was a French rugby union player. In a career spanning seventeen years between 1991 and 2008, he played wing for Stade Français and France, scoring a total of 25 tries in 67 international caps, emerging as one of the giants of French rugby. He also served as a member of the coaching staff at Stade Français between 2008 and 2009. He had represented French clubs RC La Valette and RC Toulonnais earlier in his career. Julien Peyrelongue (born 2 April 1981, in Bayonne) is a French rugby union fly-half, currently playing for the Pro D2 team Dax. Club career Having spent his youth years at Peyrehorade, Peyrelongue left in 2000 for Biarritz, where he spent his entire professional career. He won two French championships in 2005 and 2006 and reached the final of the Heineken Cup twice in 2006 and 2010. Dimitri Yachvili Markarian (born 19 September 1980, in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Corrèze) is a French former rugby union footballer who played as a scrum-half for Biarritz and France. He played for France from 2002 to 2012, earning 61 caps and scoring 373 points. With them he played in the final of the 2011 World Cup losing to New Zealand and won two Grand Slams in 2004 and 2010. Stadium de Toulouse is the largest multi-purpose stadium in Toulouse, France. It is currently used mostly for football matches, mainly those of the Toulouse Football Club, as well as rugby matches for Stade Toulousain in the European Rugby Champions Cup or Top 14. Section Paloise (, Bearnese: ), commonly referred to as ''Section'' or as ''Pau'' , is a professional rugby union club based in Pau, France.
