2004–05 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup
The 2004/05 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup was the twenty sixth World Cup season in freestyle skiing organised by International Ski Federation. The season started on 4 September 2004 and ended on 11 March 2005. This season included three disciplines: aerials, moguls and ski cross. Halfpipe was also on schedule but all events were cancelled and so crystal globes were not awarded. There were no dual mogul events on world cup calendar this season. Jeremy Bloom
Jeremy Bloom is an American former skier and American football player. As a skier, he is a one-time world champion, two-time Olympian, and 10-time World Cup gold medalist. He was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 2013. Bloom was a freshman All-American at the University of Colorado. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2006 NFL Draft and was also a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but did not play a competitive game for either team. Personal life Bloom was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, the son of Charlene, a ski and fly fishing instructor, and Larry Bloom, a clinical psychologist, and grew up in nearby Loveland. Han Xiaopeng
Han Xiaopeng (; born December 13, 1983 in Pei, Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China) is a freestyle skier who competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and won gold in the men's aerials event. Aleksei Grishin
Aleksei Gennadyevich Grishin ( be, Аляксей Генадзьевіч Грышын; russian: Алексей Геннадьевич Гришин; born 18 June 1979) is a Belarusian freestyle skier who competed at five consecutive Olympics from 1998 to 2014. He won Belarus' only medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics, a bronze in aerials. In 2010, he won the first ever Winter Olympics gold medal for his country, again in the aerials. He finished fourth in 2006 and eighth in 1998. He was the Olympic flag bearer for Belarus at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Games. Stanislav Kravchuk (born September 25, 1978, in Chirchiq) is an Uzbek-born Ukrainian freestyle skier, specializing in aerials. Career Kravchuk competed at the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics for Ukraine. In 1998, he qualified for the aerials final, ending up 9th. In 2002, he again qualified for the final, finishing 5th. In 2006, he placed 13th in the qualifying round, failing to advance to the final. Steve Omischl
Steve Omischl (born November 16, 1978) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Career Omischl was born in North Bay, Ontario. Omischl competes in aerials, and made his World Cup debut in December 1999, finishing with a silver medal at an event in Blackcomb. Omischl earned five more podiums on the World Cup circuit before winning his first event in mid-2002. Along with a fellow olympian Jeff Bean, he participated in an episode of the hit show Mantracker where he defeated Terry Grant in the nerve-wracking chase. Over his career thus far, Omischl has placed on the podium at 40 World Cup events, and claimed 20 titles. He has won four overall World Cup titles, finishing atop the aerials standings in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has won four medals at the World Championships. Jeff Bean
Jeff Bean (born January 11, 1977) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Bean competes in aerials, and made his World Cup debut in January 1996, and made his first World Cup podium later that season, finishing third in Kirchberg. One year later, Kirchberg was the site of his first two career World Cup wins, as he won events on back-to-back days. Over his career, Bean placed on the podium at 17 World Cup events, and claimed 4 titles over a 10-year span. His most successful season came in 2003, when he placed 3rd overall in the World Cup standings. His lone medal at the World Championships came in 2005, when he finished second behind countryman Steve Omischl. Bean competed in three Olympic games, beginning in 1998 and ending in 2006. Warren Shouldice
Warren Shouldice (born April 1, 1983 in Calgary) is a retired Canadian freestyle skier. Over his career, Shouldice has earned twelve podium finishes at World Cup events. His best result came in 2011, when he won the World Championships in Deer Valley Utah. Shouldice won his first World Championship medal in 2009, a bronze. Shouldice competes in aerials, and made his World Cup debut in January 2003. His first podium came a year later, when he finished second in an event at Mont Tremblant. His first, World Cup victory came in December 2005 in Changchun. Shouldice also won a memorable World Cup event in his hometown of Calgary in 2011. Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,303.
