The 2004–05 season of the Eerste Divisie began in August 2004 and ended in April 2005. The title was won by Heracles Almelo. Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. Maatschappelijke Voetbal Vereniging Maastricht (), commonly known as MVV Maastricht (, ) or simply as MVV, is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Maastricht. Dirk Jan Derksen, (born 17 June 1972) is a Dutch former professional footballer. He is one of the only players who has played for all Limburgian professional clubs ( MVV, VVV, Fortuna Sittard and Roda JC). Club career A prolific striker, Derksen played the large part of his career in the Dutch Eerste Divisie and also had a spell with Austrian giants Austria Wien. He retired from professional football as part of Helmond Sport in 2009. He would instead continue as an amateur player at EVV Echt while pursuing a managerial career on the side. Ivan Tsvetkov ( bg, Иван Цветков; born 31 August 1979) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He works as an assistant manager and is employed as a scout for Ludogorets Razgrad. Club career Born in Blagoevgrad, Tsvetkov took up football with local side Pirin. At the age of 18, he joined Dutch SC Heerenveen's youth academy. In 1998 Tsvetkov started his senior career and during his two seasons at Abe Lenstra Stadion, he scored 2 goals in 16 matches. Rahamat Riga Mustapha (born 10 October 1981) is a Ghanaian-born Dutch professional footballer who last played as a striker for Pune F.C. in the Indian I-League. Club career Born in Accra, Ghana, Mustapha began his career with Eredivisie side Vitesse as a youth and senior player. While with the Vitesse youth team, Mustapha actually worked under his future head coach at Sparta Rotterdam and Pune, Mike Snoei. He also went out on loan to RBC Roosendaal while with Vitesse. Richard van den Bergh () (born 17 November 1980 in The Hague) is a Dutch former footballer. Club career He previously played for Sparta Rotterdam (2002–2006), for whom he scored 54 goals in four seasons as well as RKC Waalwijk and Heracles Almelo. Danny Koevermans (born 1 November 1978) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Early career Born in Schiedam, Koevermans began his career with the amateurs of Excelsior'20, then went to Sparta Rotterdam, playing there for five seasons. AZ In 2005, Koevermans switched to AZ, where he started as a second-choice centre forward, although he bagged numerous goals. VBV De Graafschap () is a professional football club from Doetinchem, Netherlands, playing in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football. It was formed on 1 February 1954 and they play their home games at the De Vijverberg stadium. The stadium was opened on 12 August 2000 and stands on the site of the club's old pitch. The club name is Dutch for "The County". They are nicknamed ''Superboeren'' ("Super Farmers"). RBC, commonly known under its previous official name RBC Roosendaal, is a football club based in Roosendaal, Netherlands. Fortuna Sittard (; li, Fortuna Zitterd ) is a football club in Sittard, Netherlands. The club currently plays its football in the 12,500 capacity Fortuna Sittard Stadion and features in the Eredivisie. The club was established through a merger of former clubs Fortuna 54 and Sittardia, which merged as the Fortuna Sittardia Combinatie on 1 July 1968. FC Emmen
FC Emmen is a Dutch football club based in Emmen, Drenthe. They play in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, after winning the 2021–22 Eerste Divisie title. Founded in 1925, the club entered the professional Eerste Divisie in 1985.
