2004–05 Cypriot Cup
The 2004–05 Cypriot Cup was the 63rd edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 54 clubs entered the competition. It began on 11 September 2004 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2005 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. Omonia won their 12th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Digenis 2–0 in the final. Format In the 2004–05 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 12 of the 14 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of seven rounds. In the first and in the second round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. If extra time was drawn, the winner was decided by penalty shoot-out. The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. ENAD Polis Chrysochous FC ( el, ΕΝΑΔ Πόλης Χρυσοχούς) is a football club based in Polis, Paphos, Cyprus that competes in the Cypriot Second Division. The team was established in 1994 after two local teams, Akamas Polis Chrysochous and Demetrakis Argakas, were united. Early years After the unification of the two local clubs, the whole Chrysochous area was united to provide a single Professional Football Team (EN for Enosis or in English United, A for Akamas and D for Demetrakis ). Ermis Aradippou () is a Cypriot professional football club based in Aradippou, a settlement on the outskirts of the city of Larnaca. The club was formed in 1958, and currently plays in the Cypriot Second Division. Ermis' greatest success came in 2014, when they won the Super Cup. ASIL Lysi ( el, ΑΣΙΛ Λύσης) is a Cypriot football club which was established in the town of Lysi, Famagusta. After the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, ASIL became a refugee team and is temporarily based in Larnaca. The club plays in the Cypriot Third Division.
