Loudy Wiggins
Loudy Wiggins (née Tourky) (born 7 July 1979) is a former Australian diver. She was born in Haifa, Israel to Palestinian parents, but moved to Australia when she was 3 years old. Wiggins was a gymnast at the Australian Institute of Sport, then began diving when she was 12 on suggestion from her physiotherapist. Wiggins competed at her first Olympic Games for Diving when she was 17 years old at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She won bronze in the 10m synchronised platform event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, becoming the first Australian to win an Olympic medal in diving since Dick Eve in 1924 (with Rebecca Gilmore). She and Rebecca Gilmore were also the first Australian female Olympic diving medallists. Peter Graham Waterfield (born 12 March 1981) is a British diver and Olympic silver medalist. Diving career Waterfield's specialism is the 10-metre platform event, both as solo competitor and in the synchronised event with his former partner Leon Taylor. Chantelle Lee Newbery (née Michell) (born 6 May 1977) is an Australian former diver. She won a gold medal in diving at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and in 2006 became the 22nd athlete to be named in the Australian Institute of Sport Awards' "Best of the Best". Career Born in Melbourne, Newbury's first international success was at the 1998 World Aquatics Championships in Perth, Australia, where she won a bronze medal in the 3m springboard event. Li Ting (; born April 1, 1987 in Lingui, Guilin, Guangxi) is a female diver from the People's Republic of China. She is a member of the Dong Chinese ethnic minority. Li started training in 1993 the second Chengguan primary school. She joined Guangxi Divers' School in 1994, and became a member of the provincial squad a year later. She was selected for the Chinese national squad in 1999. Partnered by her twin sister Li Rao (李嬈) in the 9th annual Chinese national championships, she obtained the bronze medal for synchronised diving from a 10m platform. Laura Wilkinson
Laura Ann Wilkinson (born November 17, 1977, in Houston, Texas) is an American diver, 3 time Olympian, and Olympic gold medalist. She is the first woman to win the three major diving world titles. Wilkinson retired in 2008. After nine years of retirement, she returned to competition in 2017 and placed 2nd at Nationals. She trained for her fourth Olympic Games (2021) at Texas A&M University's swimming and diving facilities but did not qualify. Background Wilkinson was born and raised in Houston, Texas and lived with her parents, Ed and Linda Wilkinson. She attended Klein High School in Houston before going to University of Texas.
